Here is the order of the remaining boards:
Batch #2: Lightning Silver, Olive Green, Rose Gold, Vortex Gray
Batch #3: Blue Gray, Jet Black, Pink
Batch #4: Meteorite Gray, Ultra Violet, Crimson Red
Why this order? As noted in the image, the 3 big colors still require testing. I'm not confident I can achieve very good anodizing matching for select colors, and I would rather do a test batch on a different board first instead of risking it with this project.
The rest of the colors are based purely on popularity. The more parts required of the color, the higher priority it has. The only exception to this is Crimson Red and Olive Green - there are more CR, but those waiting on CR 220s will get their CR 280s shortly. Imo this is better than making 3 people wait the longest without anything.
Each batch should take around 6-8 weeks to produce, so please consider this as I will allow color switching. If you would like to swap colors, please PM me with your previous color, and the color you'd like to change to. Please note that Rose Gold & Vortex Gray are unavailable to switch to.
I've spent a very long time figuring this out, including scheduling testing & making sure it's absolutely fair to everyone. If there is major kickback on something, then I'll do everything to try and resolve it in both of our interests.
Why are we at this point?
The original factory I was going to use kept producing worse stuff every batch, I had to change factories.
The two options were:
- Produce stuff at original factory anyway, lose lots of money due to bad quality parts, and eventually reproduce at the new factory
- Not waste tens of thousands of $$$ hoping the OG factory magically improve, and just find a better factory that can be trusted
Either option would take a while as we all can see, but I'm glad I went with the second option.
There's a catch with the new factory though - being limited to 3 colors + silver per anodizing batch. This is to get higher quality from each run, but due to this buy offering lots of colors originally, and wanting to honor all of those, it'll take 4 batches (of which 1 has already been done) to complete. I'd love to just push them all into 1 batch and get this done with, but it just isn't possible. So this is the best I can do.
