Sourcing Carbon Fiber
« on: Fri, 21 August 2020, 08:35:20 »
Does anyone who cuts their own plates have a good retailer for 1.2mm (Alps) and 1.5mm (Cherry) Carbon Fiber plates? I was looking and 1.2mm is hard to find, but 1.5 is very common. I found Hillside Composites https://hillsidecomposites.com/collections/solid-composite-plate/products/standard-cf-plate?variant=31924981366866 offered both thicknesses. The only thing I am skeptical on is the thickness tolerance: 0-.124"THK ±.010" (.25mm) would be pretty dramatic on the ends of "acceptable". I assume this is more of a CYA, but if anyone has experience with this supplier, I would love to hear how well in tolerance your plates were.
Always looking for Alps SKCM/SKCL switches. Feel free to DM.
