GMK Fishbed - This keycap set is based on the cockpit of the Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-21 fighter jet. The MIG-21 has been in service since 1956 and has served in over 60 countries. The jet currently holds the record of being the most produced super-sonic jet-fighter in aviation history. “Fishbed” is the NATO reporting name of the jet, it is also known as “pencil” or “balalaika” thanks to the unique shape of its fuselage. The cockpit is unique due to its layout and its green turquoise color, the color has been used throughout all the generations and was selected by USSR as it is supposed to relax your eyes and keep them from getting tired. It was also believed that the color reduced stress in combat situations and is excellent at highlighting locations of dials.

Why is there an extra 6.25u spacebar and not a centered 6u? why is there three 1u Ctrl on R4 with no 1u code/win in sight? Double up on PgUp on R3. Extra R2 PgDn instead of PgUp.

6.25U has to go, our error. It was supposed to actually be the modifier color. 6U is centered, above the 6.25U. Ctlr and Code has to be changed, it has been marked changed in GMK and in the IC, The PgUp and Dw this is accurate, taken from GMK Nautlius.

This has not been decided yet, this is only the last thing pending and we will send out e-mails regarding it or throw a free key in on our behalf. The reason being that visually a white insert could be queit in the wrong spot, since if you look at the whole keyboard and out of all the keys the insert has a white legend then it might look a bit wrong.

Yea it might not be a bad idea. I'd hate to see this not meet MOQ.

We have some ideas to possibly get proxies in and just make it a non-profit kit.
The Red pack is higher than Base, numbers are current.
We will advertise on Reddit.

Might also be a good idea to update the set (or the images on the website if it's already been done) so that there aren't duplicate keys and popular layouts (i.e. 75%) are actually supported

people will be refunded and the set doesn't get made. It could be revisited in the future.. but most the time the sets just kinda die off.

This is correct, usually there is a small time extension, with a last effort from even more vendors to bring it live. Otherwise we buy up the rest if we see potential. R2s usually come.

I really want this project to go through, but if not, I hope you will continue to develop it and run again.

What I would like from this set to have is:

1. all keycaps set in turquoise color
2. More keys in Red Pack - maybe spacebar
3. More special keys in Russian - like mirror "R" or something thematic to the Mig 21

Honestly i don't think there been any advertising period which is kinda what happened to the other group buy in October. The fact Candy didn't post it anywhere and allowed this thread to flat line I be shocked if it even is at 50 orders total.

Yeah I don't think I saw this posted anywhere and hardly anyone I spoke to have even heard of it.

To be honest, I was so excited for this set in the beginning but the constant delays made me lose my interest.

First post here; new to this and collecting parts to build a TADA68. What are the odds this reaches MOQ? Looks like there's less than 30 orders right now; I'm guessing there's not usually that much of a late surge for GBs, right?

My backup is DSA Starry Night, the GB for which ends the same day.

Well poo. I really want a GMK set, but this is one of the only that I like aesthetically at the moment. I don’t like the modifier icon/text mix they use on most sets. Guess I’ll see how typing on DSA feels and go from there.

Not 100% sure, but as you can still preorder the set on their site I guess they either charged you by accident and the GB will be closed and discarded this evening/night, or they didn't hit moq and decided to buy the missing number of kits, maybe to sell them in the store later on. With proper advertising that shouldn't be a problem.

on the "incoming products and tracking" page they mention that it might be extended. Still doesn't explain why you were charged, unless it was automated based on the original GB close date.

So new update, we will extend the GB, and extend the availability. If that fails a R2 will for sure go live, we will patch up the set and send out e-mails to everyone that has taken part with the small changes, these are not changes that will effect you, there were just some concerns we have fixed.

I do apologize for the wait, we are still fixing up the set with the use of other peoples opinions, we are also getting a Asian proxy in, and a U.S. Proxy, NovelKeys and TBC.

Well the website says in the incoming products and tracking section at https://www.candykeys.com/order-tracking/ that the GB will be hosted on NovelKeys and the date for that is set for tomorrow 27th April.

Meanwhile the GB page says that an email will go out when the other proxies are brought in.

I don't lack confidence in CK (bought plenty from them before) but it is a little worrying that this thread has been forgotten about. I'm still waiting to see the fixes before I join, but it looks like MOQ isn't going to be met anyway now
