And the new controller should support it, it's listed as a feature.

I have a Cherry G80-1800 that was used as a POS board. It has a 3rd party controller. That controller has diodes in line with the columns and rows. Not sure if both. But the diodes are on the controller pcb. I wonder if that's enough for nKey-rollover. It would be a lot easier to add afterwards.

I know that pex raised the diode question a couple of times but it has never been discussed in-depth.

Put the G80-1800 through the nKey-rollover test with bad results.
