Longest NightMy first ever keycap set!
Inspired by the night sky and the contrast between the darkness of space and the glow of the moon and stars
My first attempt of an IC was underprepared so I had decided to re-work everything. It has taken a while but I have now gotten a few of the basics ready, including color matching, kitting, layout and more, so hopefully it's a bit more ready than before

this is gonna take a LOT more work before it's even ic ready. I'd recommend going back a few steps and getting more feedback. Currently as the set stands, most people will look at it like a joke. Color are nice though.

Pretty cool! Your base kit render’s got the classic Dakota Felder errors (3, 2, 1 on the numpad for example) and it seems your keyboard renders have icon mods (while the base kit render has text icon) so i think clearing up which one you’re going to use is probably going to be useful
-
I don't think this is ready for IC, it needs more work.
-
Oh wow, this is definitely a step up from SOTD, still a lot to be desired tho

Love the alphas. The rest of it I'm not sold on. It's just chaos.
I wonder what this would look like with a solid color but differing legend colors instead.
-
I actually like the gradient on the numpad - the colors work well there.
But on the alphas + mods section where most of the keys are, it lacks any organization and looks pretty random. And also not sure but I think it may be pretty tricky to color match, glwic

This needs a lot more work. Decide what material you want to make this with, what manufacturer you're going to do this with and make actual kitting. Hard to judge just a colorway since it's entirely personal preference.
-
hey, i definetly like that you put the effort into renders and presentation. it shows that you actaully care and invested time into your set, which is good. however, a lot of things are less to be desired; such as kitting (dakota felder+legend errors). i really like the idea and it would be really cool if you improved upon your kits, and found a manu.

Maybe look at some other ic's to get an idea of what sort of work you need to put in.
-
this is one of those IC that I'd love to see polished out. Kitting, target pricing, material, which manu, etc. good luck dude.
-
i like the color pallet, would be cool to see where this goes
-
I think I can see the color pattern you were trying for in the alphas and mods, but it's pretty hard to follow. What if you made the whole thing a gradient set, with the colors progressing across the alphas/mods like on the numpad?
-
Nice 104 key set bro.
-
What happened to manufacturer, kitting, and colors/color matching? All should be figured out before IC, please make these improvements, but nice renders. GLWIC :thumb:
-
As others have pointed out, you'll need to figure out kitting. ICs are more than just colorways
Chase this down though, and update the thread when you have more!

this is much better than other half-baked ass ics. though like others said, this still needs more work. You're on the right track so keep working on it! :thumb:
-
sorry for being inactive, took me a while to re-work everything
-
oh wow I really like the colors for both sets, i like the star gazing a bit more ngl
-
Please consider running this in DCS if you run it at all.
Please do not use ePBT.
-
The re-work is a major improvement, but this IC could definitely use some more work
Here's a few things I recommend fixing/changing:
-You're missing a few keys for ISO support (whether you want to do Terminal or UK, that's up to you)
-I'd recommend changing the "Win" button to something more generic like "Code" or "Super"
-Also, you never specified which profile/manufacturer you're running with
Other than that, the IC's pretty good (much better than some others I've seen, and much better than the original post). The renders are sufficient and the kitting images are... decent. Better than dakota felder renders at least...

Its fine, but theres 0 iso support, and what is the manufacturer? That greatly impacts your kitting and possibly color matching. It still seems like you need to fix up some things, and tie up some loose ends, but this is a step in the right direction! :thumb:
-
You're still lacking a manufacturer, the color layout and kitting make no real sense (from what I can tell). Continue baking this IC it's still raw in the middle.
-
Wait, this considered re-worked? How bad was it before?
-
i'm literally interested.
-
you should've have improved it further
smh I am tilted

Glad to see this hasn't improved in almost 6 months
