This project is inspired by my all time favorite colorway, Soware (https://geekhack.org/index.php?topic=84502.0). I had always wondered what a dark version of the original DCS soware would look like, so I decided to make it a reality.

The Colors

Alphas: GPA (same as original Soware mods)
Mods: GQM (not used in original Soware)
Legends: BFQ (original Soware uses BBQ and BBJ, I prefer using only one color and this splits the difference)
Red: RDD (original soware uses RR)
Blue: BDH (same as original Soware)
Yellow: YCH (original Soware uses YY)
Green: VCS (original uses VCM, I prefer this green)
Orange: OBH (not used in original Soware)

No color matching needs to be done with SP before this set begins production, as it only uses stock colors. HIBI will be sent physical color chips for color matching once the sales period concludes.

One base kit. One HIBI.

As far as the kitting goes, I wanted to have physical support for as many layouts as possible, meaning that the vast majority of people will be able to buy this set and have it fit on their keyboard, even if the legends aren't quite right.
My only keyboard regret is not buying the tsangan kit for the DCS Smallfry set and now I can't use it on most of my boards. I don't want that to happen to anyone who buys this set.

Just received some correspondence from SP, YY is not a retired color, and in fact is SP's most basic yellow. They didn't mention RR but I suspect it's a similar situation. A bunch of people told me it was retired while I was developing this set, so just wanted to pass that along. We're gonna keep YCH (and RDD) since that's what we rendered with, and that's what you paid for.

I suspect this means that we're close to production.

still in the queue, NK reached out to SP today to get an estimate on when production will start

i think we're on like week 27 or 28 of lead time so it might be another month or two before we see some real movement

HIBI caps are in final QC and will be sent out to vendors if/when they pass

Here's a PHOTO of the kit from NK.

The red for the legends turned out a little darker than we expected but it's pretty legible in person. It's correct to the RDD color chip, so it was a designer issue, not an SP issue. There will be a lot more photos on the NK website and you can judge for yourself before you buy. I've received my sets and am happy with the final product. If you ordered from NK (which most did) you can expect yours in the next couple of weeks.

Gonna throw a set on my Glare in a bit and post some photos if it's still light out once I get around to it.

Oh, SP also has new packaging so I might post some photos of that too. These aren't shipping in plastic bags.

Extras on Novelkeys today.  Product photos look pretty nice.  Red and blue on mods pretty low contrast but the other colors pop well.  Would be cool to have a set with all yellow text mods.
