Hello keebs, i'm Geon

I am very excited to introduce my first foreign market product, Vanquish65.
I run a CNC factory in Korea and now I'm producing F1-8X keyboards and selling them.

The Vanquish65 is my second keyboard in a new attempt, and will show our direction and philosophy.
It designed as a 65% tray-mounted keyboard with a torsion beam structure.
I'm sure, it will eliminate prejudice against tray mounts.

The housing is single-structured with the material A6061-T651

The Vanquish65 is a 65% keyboard with supporting two types of CAPS LOCK, BACKSPACE and SPACE BAR (6.25U and 7U).

PCB will be manufactured exclusively.

A total of five pcb brackets are used and a variety of materials are available as options to change strength.

The section was enlarged so that it could be seen directly rather than explained in words.

I changed the exterior design by the opinions from the discord. Because I am focusing always more on basic things than the exterior design.

It is the keyboard that focuses on usability, therefore excessive logos and names of keyboards would be not printed or engraved.

Screws are invisible from the outside.

Really cool idea for mounting. I would say that when you liken it to suspension, you are missing the damping aspect though. Possibly leave a tad of room for some foam/silicone padding to add that damping factor

This is extremely interesting. I am very interested to see what other materials you use for mounting and the affects it has on the typing experience. I may just have to pick this up. I'm honestly hoping the group buy is still a ways out though. I normally wouldn't care too much, but I would love to see hotswap on this board. I am concerned that Kaihl sockets would interfere with the mounting posts though, so it may not even be possible.

I am very curious about the dampener. Typing feel is all up there, and I can only go by what Geon says (and perhaps the people to whom he gives protoypes as well). But I want to know the audio profile vs using a sheet of EVA foam / neoprene / sorbothane. I'm trying to create a classy quiet mech, so I'm watching this thread.

I added it because there was an opinion to add ISO first. And because of the structure, the left SHIFT key cannot be divided into two.
In order to reduce the unit price from the previous method of using iron core, the bracket was changed to a single body and because it may be too flexible, the plan is to place a reinforcement plate on top of PCB.

Cons of tray mount: tends to be stiff and inconsistent in both sound and feel. This is because of the posts the pcb/plate is screwed onto.

Pros: Most standardized PCBs come with tray mount holes (mostly just 60s tho). Allows for easier pcb replacement. Also tray mount boards tend to cost significantly less as they can usually be machined in a single main piece.

This board: attempts to resolve the cons by implementing torsion beams for those mounting points, allowing for some flex and maybe better acoustics.

My first custom is plateless. Pretty easy on the fingers, and the sound profile sounds a little bit more pleasing.

I can't tell if the flex toward the center is as much as the flex at the angles (inclination) and if the latter could cause issue with SA key caps, also: is the kind of flex and movement, that seems pivoting the center, useful for the typing experince aside of isolating maybe the sound of the caps from the case?

Based on the timeline on their website, it’s currently looking like a Q1 2022 GB

Unfortunately, Vanquish has been vanquished at least for the foreseeable future.
