IMB Model M died?
« on: Thu, 16 June 2022, 07:06:28 »
I was fixing up a Model M I found at work. It was working just fine, but then I accidentally plugged it into the green port on the USB adapter I have instead of the purple. It lit up and then died, and now nothing on it works. Is it just going in the trash now or can I save it?

I'm glad you figured that out. PS/2 isn't really meant to be hot-swappable either. You usually need the keyboard plugged into the correct port when the system POSTs for it to be functional when the operating system boots.
