He's in Europe, dude, I don't think you have to worry.

All Northgates use the same clicky Alps sliders, though some of the plungers are blue, the vast majority are white.

yeah, I went to clicky keyboards and read up on it.
Some cons are the numpad, the cable is attached, and the keys are not removeable.

The M2 is very similar to my Unicomp spacesaver...it would still be kind of nice to add to the collection though.

I did the same thing you did. And I agree, it would be cool to add to a collection. I didn't see tha the keys are not removable though, that kind of sucks.

You're not bidding on it, that's all you need to know. You know because you need to know.

I see. One of them "on a need to know basis" things is it? Like one of them James Bond films.

This one says the keycaps are not removeable:

http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/9245/subcatid/0/id/181412

This one says they are:
http://www.clickykeyboards.com/index.cfm/fa/items.main/parentcat/9245/subcatid/0/id/206409

Maybe its a typo. I would think they would be removeable....

And one says it's a non-working unit because it is actually a PS/1 keyboard. WTF

Just get a Dell AT102. They have black Alps (soft tactile, non-clicky). You can easily get these for Euro 1,-. Nobody bids on them, I don't know why.

I'll PM you a link to a current auction.

Seller won't ship outside of Germany but might change his mind. :)

Make sure you get an AT102D or AT102DW and not an AT102R. R means rubber dome. Better ask the seller. I suspect that the Rs have a different case but couldn't confirm that yet. D is the german version, AT102 for ex. is english ISO layout with vertical enter key. W means Windows keys.
