[Droplet]

A TKL Keyboard.

Hi, everyone!

I am Bahm, a keyboard enthusiast like you guys.
I have run several keyboard GBs in Korea, and now I am going to run my keyboard GB globally.

However, as I think many of you guys don't know about me, let me introduce my works first.

BTW, I am running CNC machining shop by myself.
It's a small shop but good enough to make high quality keyboards!

[Dolch TKL]
Dolch TKL is designed by a Korean, who's nickname is Heok.
But this keyboard is made in my shop. Yeah, I made it.

[Bahmbi (night rain) Keyboard]
This is the first keyboard which is designed and made by myself.
The concept of this keyboard was 'rain' , so the logo on the right side is made with a concept of 'raining'.
The name Bahmbi comes from my nickname 'Bahm', which also means night, and 'Bi' which means 'rain' in Korean.

This keyboard has a top mounted plate and has 'Aluminum' and 'PC' version.
I applied 'diamond cuttings' to the edge of the keyboards. Beautiful...imo.

[Jetstorm]
Jetstorm was my second keyboard which I designed and made.
This was the first keyboard in Korea which electrophosis was applied.
Duck0113 has supplied PCBs for this keyboard.

[Evelyn]
This is my most recent keyboard with ergo layout.

Now let me introduce my new keyboard 'Droplet'

And I also made a proto.

Although this proto is not finished yet.

Anodizing and polishing will be done next week.

[Specification]

- Typing angle : 7 degrees
- Top mounted
- PCB not decided yet, but this keyboard will support any B type 87 layout PCB(recommend A87.b)
- Brass weight attached to the bottom surface of the bottom housing
- SS weight attached on the upper surface of the bottom housing
- There will be an engraving on the top of the arrow keys. BUT NOT DECIDED YET. Forget the engraving on the proto pics.
- WK and WKL
- Black, dark gray and silver
- Plate with Aluminum, Stainless Steel and Polycarbonate (PC)

- Estimated Price : 500,000 KRW (So let me see how the USD-KRW currency rate will be in near future) excluding shipping fee.

- Keyboard with weights, plate, PCB and carrying bag will be included.

- GB will start at Jan. 2021.

- GB will be done in my Shopify site

Man what a collection, I am kinda jealous lol.

I really like the design, and it seems that it is pretty finalized at that. You even have a prototype at hand before posting this, which is rare for IC in this day and age. Though you may not add anymore colors, navy blue is a good one in case you change your mind.

May I also ask what will be the amount of units sold? If it will be hosted on your website through a first-come-first-serve format, the amount of units available may change my interest. I do not have a programmed bot to do checkouts, so a really limited number of boards just means impossible for me to purchase.

As for the engraving above the arrow keys, I suggest that a simple water drop would suffice. I would avoid words or a bold logo because I would prefer a clean looking board.

Really looking forwards to seeing it in anodized form! Keep up the good work!

Love the logo design! Would love a navy blue option since it's water themed

Please offer this board in silver.  That raw prototype looks amazing.  It's a chunky boi.

I do agree with the others about the logo text above the arrow cluster.  I don't like the current logo.  I would prefer either nothing there or something that is not text.

No it's different. That dolch tkl gb was 2 years ago, and is definitely different from epoch.

And stay tuned as I and Bahm are going to run second round of dolch tkl(including 65 otho and cp(or 1800)) soon with upgraded internal design.

though those are prototype photos, the machining does not look great with many imperfections on the external side of the case... Its concerning especially because you are an experienced designer / keyboard maker.

That's a proto without any surface treatment. Bahm just made this to do typing sound and feeling test.
And he decided to make the brass weight a bit larger and to add a SS weight inside the board.

That pic was taken after several days of testing in the factory. So there are lots of dings and scratches.
