Okay, today I got something I've been searching for for about 3 years. This is absolutely my endgame Cherry keyboard, and I'm over the moon that I was finally able to get it.

YUGE thank you to mindgame for his outstanding find and his amazing friendliness :thumb:

Two new condition (no boxes, but for once I don't care) Cherry G81-3100SAV with ANSI cyrillic dyesubs.

They both even came with the original Ukranian replacement keys and keycap puller (keycap butcher).

Haven't unwrapped the second one yet..

Thanks man!

I guess good things do come to those who wait. I can't say I'd want to wait this long ever again though; I'd hate to find out how many hours I spent scouring the net, sending messages and emails and so on. It's definitely been a journey :))

So the question is.. are you going to use them? They're just so pretty untouched haha. Now I might be wrong but, didn't you already have a Russian set? If you did, what makes these more special? If not, I must be thinking of somebody else >.>

A few weeks ago I did receive two other sets of dyesubs like this. I got a used G81-3000SAV (heavily yellowed keyboard, reasonable condition caps) and a new set of ESA-3000-HASRO keycaps with no keyboard.

Those two were nice to get, but there were two things that made me less excited for them :

The G81-3000SAV was missing its extra Ukrainian keys, which these two 3100s both have. The ESA-3000-HASRO was missing its keyboard, which is quite important to me.

If I'm going to use any it'll probably be the 3000SAV keycaps, since they're already used.

Interestingly (to me anyway), there are some small differences between the keycaps of the HASRO, 3000SAV and 3100SAV (there are actually differences between the two 3100SAVs, as they're made 1 year apart). When I return home I'll make a thread comparing all four keysets in full! :thumb:

Photekq....

You have searched high and low for three years to get these keyboards. Only a keyboard collector of the highest degree are worthy of these keyboards; those keyboards are only worthy of being owned by a collector such as yourself.

Lovingly photographed, the keyboards truly show your desire and passion for this hobby. The fact that you own such a keyboard is a small merit to you, however to the average user, it is a merit that is not deserved.

I even wrote a haiku for you:

The strong PBT
bright Red dye-sublimation
how the best achieves

Aww yee.  My stickers from them are coming soon, I just got shipping notice today.

Where did you find that sticker though?  I didn't see it for sale.

Best mousepad ever

The surfaces of Artisan mousepads are great. They have really refined their process over the last couple years as well. I have a white one, but I have to get my hands on one of these new ones too! That logo is really cool.
