What layout and switch do you use and why?

I'm a recent convert to HHKB layout and it happened kind of by accident. I've always been a buckling spring guy, from when I first started finding cheap or free IBM kit in the late nineties. I found a New Model F 62-key at a good price; it uses HHKB layout. It was quite a change from the 122-key IBM board I used before! But I grew to like the layout. Then when I changed jobs and my new boss couldn't stand noisy keyboards, getting an HHKB Type-S was the obvious choice. So now I have Topre at work and capacitive buckling springs at home, both HHKB layout.

It's been so long since I've used a normal switch. I've been using my FC660C for quite a while and love it. 60-65% is the way to go for me, otherwise.

For MX keyboards, I use as small as 65, 75, TKL and full size. Nowadays I only use Cherry MX blacks. Too lazy to experiment with switches and imo, all linears are quite similar to each other.

I started out with TKL in 2016, then went to 65,% then 60%.
Got stuck on the hhkb layout for the better part of 6 years.
Started traveling more for work and was too dependent on the hhkb layout, so went back to 60% so that I would be used to my MacBook keyboard.
I still have 3-4 Hhkb custom boards, but I carry a Logitech 60% (with browns) with me that is my daily. Light and easy, and not worried about breaking it.
