The POS keyboards look like M2s. If that is the case they have BS.

I wonder if you could just re-solder a ps2 cable to the PCB on the POS M2s.

That's what I was hoping. I read somewhere that you can fry the motherboard if you wire up a PS/2 connector incorrectly. I don't know if this is true, but +v and ground should be easy to determine.
