Title: Ducky One 2 SF not registering some keys.
Post by: Painite on Thu, 06 February 2020, 22:31:34
Title says all, Im new here so I apologize if I post this in the wrong forums but this side seems like its the most proper side to post this question. My Backspace, \ , enter, up arrow and bot arrow keys dont work. I tried spamming it but only got the backspace to work once every 100 keypresses lol. The LEDs are working. Is it my switch or just lose soldering points?

Assuming it's out of warranty and build like my Ducky take it apart (run a credit card or similar round the outside edge to unclip the top, unscrew newly revealed screws and remove the bottom) then short the two pins of the 'dead' switch using anything conductive (bent paperclip, scissors, tweezers...) - if the keypress registers it's the switch that's damaged, if it doesn't it's the soldering.

Yeah, rip it apart and see. I recently got a Zenith ZKB-2 that had some broken solder joints that took out 3 keys on the number pad. It took longer for the iron to heat up than to fix it.
