Great lens, epzy! You can use this one almost every time as a standard on your cam. Also fixed focal length is superior!

I got some Granite trade caps, one Bitcoin and two Star Wars caps.

I'm scared to get maiden picture discs, cause I'd have to collect them all :| The shaped/picture disc of "can I play with madness" was the coolest thing.

Some people say that clear, and other certain color vinyls sound worse than standard black vinyl also... I think it has more to do with them often being lighter gram and softer vinyl rather than anything else. That leads them to wear and gain surface noise faster. Various color additives do play part in noise reduction apparently, some are much better than others. Other problem is often with limited releases, the pressing equipment is ran 'cold' and leads to inferior pressings. In such cases it's usually not good to have anything number under say 200 for other than collector purpose bragging.

Yep.  And I don't have much experience working with PVC, but I know that with the polymers I work with, colours can greatly affect their processing properties and other various things.

i could have phrased that better yes

but they're literally the same and don't sound better/worse than clear/red/orange/whatever ones

But they're really not.  I just mentioned that colours can affect polymers in odd ways.  The colour is an additive, so they do not have the same chemical makeup.  It very well might be subtle and immeasurable, I am not prepared to dispute that, but I'm just saying that they are not literally the same.  :)

Or ya know, vinyl is a ****tier technology than CD and therefore sounds worse always unless it was recorded in crappy conditions to begin with.

I just made a whole slew of people mad, I'm sure.

Well physical media is dead anyway. Why bother when you can have a digital 100% copy of the actual master in some lossless format?

I always prefer a physical copy because it's like a permanent backup. I dread the day when Steam and iTunes suddenly go offline, thus rendering all that 'cloud' software completely useless.

Ditto.  I also enjoy being able to enjoy media for those few times a year when I lose internet entirely or whatever might happen.

As for the quality, I listen to vinyl for the experience and the physicality of it, so you didn't make me mad.  Also, many things that were originally released only on vinyl and were then remastered for CD in the 90s suffer from massive dynamic compression and actually lose a lot of details.  This is not universally true, but is definitely noticeable in quite a few cases.  So if I am choosing vinyl for quality, it's actually a good reason.

Truthfully it depends on the genre. Like Jack White puts out all these vinyls, and I still think CD sounds 100x better but that's due to the recording techniques he uses. Listening to Muddy Waters, Coltrane, or even Led Zep actually sounds better on vinyl to my ears.

I just like giving audiophiles a good rustling :P

I find vinyl just becomes a part of the evening. Instead of music being the background, vinyl likes to bring it to the foreground. Just feels and looks good :)

Likewise. I have digital copies of all the vinyls I have recently purchased, but I enjoy listening to the vinyl versions 10 fold over just another one of the hundreds of downloaded albums I get. It's an event. It's conversation. It's much more than a just a preferred medium based solely on quality.

Got a Royal Beta 8100 keyboard and caps yesterday, but the seller broke a ton of the stems.  I have no clue how he managed that when they're practically new looking and feeling and are basically Cherry/GMK doubleshots.

Today I got these from the customs office:
75199-0

The bottom one actually has all its keycaps, I just pulled them of before I took the photo. The other AT and the SSK have some missing keycaps and the SSK is missing its cable. The bottom one is nearly clean as of now, it just needs the rust to be removed from the plate.

YUSSSSS!!!! ONE OF US, BRO. Just give it time. Type on it for about a week. I also thought they were slightly too stiff when I first got them, and almost sold them... well, as you probably know by now, I'm a HUGE 55g advocate. Just let your fingers get used to it and the domes to soften up. Once you get used to them, you'll realize that the only stiffer part is the top initial peak force. Once the cup caves in though, it's not much different from 45g.

Next thing you'll know, you'll either have found your new favorite keyboard, or you'll be modding your HHKB into 55g. Heck, maybe both?!

My first RF board. :)  87U 55g.  The switches feel good but are quite heavy.  Hopefully my weakling fingers can handle them, haha.

Today I got these from the customs office:
(Attachment Link)

The bottom one actually has all its keycaps, I just pulled them of before I took the photo. The other AT and the SSK have some missing keycaps and the SSK is missing its cable. The bottom one is nearly clean as of now, it just needs the rust to be removed from the plate.

Wow massive loot! You have taste sir  :thumb:

Nice naasfu!! Now show us your Topre Clacks on it. I hope the keyboard have enough keys to host them :p

We have seen a HHKB full of Clacks but I don't think we have seen a RF full of Clacks. Ha ha!
