[GB] Aozora | 青空 GB // Shipping! Extras Available

Aozora is available for purchase in globally from our website. The group buy will close July 10th or when we reach our  "soft cap" of 1000 units - meaning that we'll manually close the GB a bit after we see we've hit 1000 orders.

The Base kit starts at $199.99 (+$20 for e-White) The kit comes with an ANSI hot swap PCB and plate. There is also support for other layouts available. You will be able to chose between brass or aluminum hardware (Plate & badge) when purchasing a base kit.

There are many extras available to maximize your customization:
  • Extra Plates (ANSI & Universal/ISO) (Brass, Aluminum, Carbon Fiber, and Polycarbonate)
  • Extra PCBs (ANSI & Universal/ISO)
  • PCB Foams
  • Extra Top Housings
  • Extra Bottom Housings
  • Extra Badges (Brass or Aluminum)

There are a couple minor changes that have been made for the production run:
  • The cloud badge is now set in with a screw. It turned out that this did not raise the manufacturing costs by any significant amount as we had originally thought.
  • The bottom edge is more rounded to make handling of the keyboard more comfortable.

Sound test!

During the group buy we will continue working on small adjustments as we see fit. Prototypes for the Universal/ISO Plate and PCB, as well as a sample of the Pink and Black finish are coming soon. We'll keep you guys updated as we progress.

We are currently planning to begin shipping 3-4 months after the conclusion of the GB period (Q4 2021).

This date is of course not certain, especially in today's climate. We will do our best to keep to the same schedule but there are still things ultimately out of our control. You only have aesthetic photos. Where are the most technical photos? Post a picture of the keyboard background, the usb type-c connector and the keyboard feet, among other things as well.

As we near the end of our GB, we thought we'd do a GB to show our gratitude for the community's support! We're at about 70% of our total limit.

We're giving away 1 base kit, 2x 69% off codes, and another 5x 10% off codes. The giveaway will end about a day ahead of the GB end (3 days ish).

Sorry for the lack of updates! Here's where we're at now:

Orders have been submitted except universal pcb which is in final stages of prototyping.

ANSI PCBs are waiting for final version of firmware to begin manufacturing. Just working on confirmation that current firmware works and is approved by QMK. Universal firmware is being worked on as well, VIA support will come after I finish getting both working.

R3 Protos are on the way, so more pics to come soon.

Good news!
We've received all the boards and hardware in the US and have started shipping. 

It will be a slow process; I (Food) am going to school out of town and Nikko is also currently attending school a couple of hours away from where the boards are located. He will mostly be working alone, and the weekends are when most work will get done. The orders will be shipping in the order that they were placed, regardless of geography.

Local pickup is an option if you'd like to get your board early. We're located in SoCal (92011). If you're interested, contact Nikkō#4404 on Discord.
