Yeah it's almost impossible to find any, let alone nice ones. Though fortunately some of the recent GBs have the necessary keycaps for the 1800 layout. Hyperfuse GMK and Dolch GMK have the hard to find Right-Shift.

Both of these sets lack the single unit + key.  GMK Dolch tried to do a 1800 kit that would have included this, but it did not make MOQ.

Resistors for smd : free of charge (qty around 105) * 1.3k/910/820/750/680ohm

So i totally forgot to specify which ones i wanted, what do these even do so i can order the appropriate ones.

I'm too lazy to check resistors ohms.
I plan to pack all kind of resistors.
All you will receive 105*5 resistors.
This method will make us to be easy. ;D

Oh, phew, thanks Kin!

Still waiting on him to give us a number on how much it will cost before I order so I know how much to donate. I'd love to have it compatible with this board. (since that and toxic plus the purple dyesubs from here are going to be the only MX sets I own)

ONLY if it reaches MOQ hence everyone needs to buy a set to help it move over the line.  1800 set in Hyperfuse would be to die for, instantly  :thumb: .

I'm confused here.. has the deadline passed for everything in this GB or just a payment for the full kits?  I'm potentially interested in some keycaps only.

Hi Hi,

Got a question about the housing:

What is the size/length/type of the screws that will be used for it? I'm about to order some screws, and I want to order some extra ones for the TX1800 for backup, please let me know!

These aren't MX Clears like what are used for Ergoclears these are MX whites right? If so I guess I'll be ordering some clears from another site.

spring, top, slider and bottom are seperated and cleaned.
generally springs are useless.
seperated parts are easier to lubricate, change springs and put into gap films.

I got mass-produce samples yesterday.
They are Black and Dark Grey.
I was a little busy.
so I checked around and took some pictures.

NCS Letters are changed.
Outside chamfer become rounded.
Overall, I am satisfied with the quality.

BUT...  :-X
1) The color of dark grey is different from last proto. so I will give the color sample to the factory. It will be fixed.
2) Anodizing quality is not the best. I will try to increase the quality.
3) Shipping day shall be pushed back by a week.

This Week...
Leeku 1800 PCB shall arrive.
Lyn3's PBT keycaps sample shall arrive.
I will prepare switches (desolder, seperate, clean, dry... hard working ;D)

That is something I forgot to mention in my post too! I'm glad to see how committed you are to the quality of the housing! I can tell that you want your first GB on Geekhack to go amazingly well, and I think that we can all appreciate that.  :thumb:

I second that! Really great to see the progress pictures, I'm 110% behind having a small delay to try and increase quality even more  :D

I will prepare switches (desolder, seperate, clean, dry... hard working ;D )

Oh DAMN, the BEST posting thus far, 1800 heaven bestowed upon me like this, have to stay seated at my desk for at least 20 minutes before I attempt getting up  8) .

Pray no one wants anything to be sorted at the workshop because this could be embarrassing in so many ways, here at my work site.

Kin25 always strive for perfection because GON is absolutely addicted to making every keyboard as brilliant as possible so no one can fault his mastery of keyboard manufacturing, much like you I hope.

Thank you for your mentions.
The QC stress was started.
But It can't make me  hard. :)
I just enjoy and do my work.
For last two weeks, I was busy to assemble LZ-REs.
Chinese friends of mine asked to assemble their REs.
I assembled five REs for 2 weeks.
(My hands work very slowly, I need more hands :) )
It is finished..
So i can concentrate on tx1800.
In this week.. I have to solder 1800pcb.
I have to desolder switches and clean them.
It will take much times. And it makes me busy.
I promise that i will often come to this GB and post a news.

With my orders please TAKE YOUR TIME  8) .

Happy to receive them when ever you can finish this year.  I will never bother and harass you to finish anything for me quickly, just enjoy the process of making because you'll have someone who will truly treasure your work forever.

Would rather have a keyboard built with love than another one done to time and rushed out the door quickly.  GON suffers from goons at his site demanding him to send them their keyboards almost immediately because most will not wait six to nine months for their keyboards.
