Suspect shelving which is tilted towards the front so you could see what each keyboard looks like plus the use of extra storage boxes and cabinets to store those keyboards not needed to present for this week's patronage  :thumb: .

200 is not a lot, try when it's 500 plus, then it might get a little tight for storage around his property  8) .

I don't know exactly what I have.
I remember 50 keypads in two big boxes.
Sometimes.. It took much time to find something. :(

Thank you.
This is my first groupbuy in GH.
I think I must have reponsibility.
Generally GB opener reports process of progress in Korea.
It relieves participants anxiety.
Also it makes GB opener reduce the stress.
The communication make all satisfied.
I spend a little time a day to post these news.

I was just starting to be more attentive at the GH community when the TX1800 GB started.
I was a bit scared to join this GB, or any GB, to be fair.
But now, looking at all the messages, the very open way that you have been communicating updates, news and the general happiness present on this GB, I feel very confident that all your future group buys will be exemplary.
Sadly, I was too scared to join the TX1800 GB and I now regret this decision, but I'll patiently wait your next GB.

Thank you.
I am making TX1800 more than GB order.
You will be able to get it.  ( sooner rather than later )
I plan to make many layout keyboards. (60%, 75%, 87%, 110%, keypad)
Next GB will be TX87(cherry and alps)
TX87 is waiting its PCB.
TX87 is not cheap because of its angle.
So plat 87 will be made after tx87. (cheap price)

Indeed I wish more GB runners would take a look at this one and use it as a standard. All GBs should strive to achieve this same level of transparency (within reason of course.) :)

My greatest interest is how i can make not only cheaper but also better keyboard.
(1) increasing quantity.
(2) changing a production method.
(3) simple design.
(4) reducing production time.
(5) low profit.

I found some ways.
Now I am not assured whether it comes true or not.
But I will try to... :)

Here on Geekhack there is ONLY one rule of law concerning the design and manufacture of any type of keyboard it has to be PERFECT QUALITY  :thumb: .

No short-cuts, no substitutions or fake swap-stitutes (my word) and of course the Korean Way of offering superior items than Japanese made equivalent keyboards.  I would be extremely happy if these TX1800's become the hallmark of South Korean manufacturing that will let the world know of what you guys can really do.

I'm  sorry for late update.

QC is a hard working.
In general light  the housing looks good.
But in sunshine the housing looks not equal color.
(only bottom side)
The middle of bottom looks a little shiny.
Because of cutting direction and cutter of milling machine.

So.. I asked to fix it.
It will take a week to fix it.
---------------------------------
A little good news.
I received memory foam sheet today. (5T)
I could nt find it in the market.
So I ordered the factory to make it.
It's not expensive. :)
It is a little gift for tx1800 buyer.

I have to cut it. :)

Awesome! Glad to hear like always you're really on top of making sure everything is of the highest standards! As for the memory foam that's for putting between the pcb and the case to dampen the sound right?

Also didn't get an answer on the second question, your original post says second part of payment would be mid April are you postponing that until you're satisfied with the quality of everything or should we expect invoices soon? Thanks for the prompt replies as always

That's awesome! Thanks for providing us with memory foam inserts!

Make sure to cut the foam in a well ventilated area. :) Smelling too much of brand new memory foam can give you a headache. :P

That's awesome! Thanks for providing us with memory foam inserts!

Make sure to cut the foam in a well ventilated area. :) Smelling too much of brand new memory foam can give you a headache. :P
Thank you for your info.
I can't smell anything bad.
I ordered good memory foam.
The quality might be good.
I've cut them many time.
I use iron ruler and knife.

Due to the thickness of the foam (or there lack of) the smell applies to low quality foam made from unstable chemicals. Usually 'smelly' foam pertains to poorly made stuff in huge thicknesses that will fill a room with that noxious odour.

The good stuff never smells even when it's stored for decades in the roof space of homes, here in Convict Town  :thumb: .

Hot!

I have a special request. Can I get the measurement for the width of the case at the front? It's so I can have the correct size of wrist rest made :)

A little good news.
I received memory foam sheet today. (5T)
I could nt find it in the market.
So I ordered the factory to make it.
It's not expensive. :)
It is a little gift for tx1800 buyer.

I have to cut it. :)

Suppose this would be a question for Kin25 here,

Why have you chosen a sheet of foam instead of a sheet of silicone?

The silicone is extremely flexible and long lasting for decades plus it's a great insulator which would help the pcb from ever contacting the back plate of the housing.

Being a complete newb to keyboard construction just would like to know your preference for foam being used here.
