Title: Newly painted QFR top case
Post by: tigersharkdude on Wed, 28 May 2014, 09:06:18
When I first bought my QFR I purchased an extra top case and painted it bright green

I was iffy on the green case and green keys (that's a lot of green), so I took the OE top case and asked my uncle if he would paint it for me (he does motorcycles), a few minutes later he gives me this. Im not positive if I like it with the green keys, but I think the purple case will look good with the Galaxy Class Keyset

I'm interested in seeing the paint job, mostly.

It's a fairly simple job, purple base and a white "marble/smoke" effect on top, he spent all of 3-4 minutes on it

I know that the paint job is supposed to be "galaxy"-like, but to me the green and purplish color scheme is reading as 'Zombie' -- I mean that in a good way! Thanks for posting this.

I didn't plan the color at all, I just asked if he would paint it for me and gave him creative freedom. The green and purple do go together surprisingly well, with the green case and green keys it was just too much green, but now it looks pretty good IMHO.

I had shown him a picture of the green setup, I guess that's where his purple input came from

Put a ZomBro on it -- ZombieBoard.

I don't have a ZomBro to offer, sadly.

That looks really cool.  Coloring reminds me a lot of fluorite.

What method is being used for that paint job? It reminds me of tie-dye.
