At the moment, yeah I'm running both unless the guys in that group buy decide they don't want the keys I want.

Lol. Yeah its not like I'm on my senior year taking Operations Management classes half populated by doctoral students and 3rd year Japanese for my minor or anything. Good thing I don't have a job too, Starcraft 2 takes up all the rest of my free time. XD

Lol, the F&*k is this? I just went on USPS.com to double check how much their smallest flat rate boxes are to ship and whatnot... and it said it was cheapest to order the boxes online instead of in the store. Moments later I have 4 packs of 25 boxes in my shopping cart and it isn't asking for a dime from me to have them shipped to me. I figured I'd be paying for the box and the shipping in the process of buying the boxes... instead I guess I get the boxes for free and just have to pay the $5 when I ship them. Still trying to work out what shipping in Canada is going to be, but expect a thread tomorrow afternoon.

You can go on eBay and get them real cheap.  I have 400 of some small ones that will fit 10+ key caps.

Oh yea, these ship around $2-$3.  All you need to do is stuff them with some recycling paper so that it bulks up.  That is the only way USPS will ship them.

That's why USPS is going under.  It doesn't even charge you anything if you are on vacation and want the post office to hold your mail for you.  Meanwhile in Canada, Canada Post is privatized and charge you $20 to hold mail for 10 weekdays.

Yeah, I've read many an article on how terrible USPS is doing. That sounds about right. Those boxes I got are what I was expecting on mailing all along, they offer much more protection than envelopes and yeah, I'll be stuffing them with some sort of padding as well. I may do envelopes for this group buy, I did only ask for 100 boxes lol. The boxes hold more keys though (more useful for the Portal GB,) and are sturdier. I suppose I could save you guys a buck if I ordered those envelopes and shipped via them but I'm not sure if it's that big of a deal. You guys tell me. I was going to charge a dollar for the time it takes to pack and ship 100 orders, so $5 or $6 shipping to the US. Seems fair to me, and that's pretty much what most group buys are charging for shipping from what I've seen. Thoughts?

yeah sounds fair. Wasn't sure the price differences between bubble mailers and small USPS boxes. Just thought of cost cutting and time saving, as bubble mailers don't require that you tape the entire box yourself. But boxes are good, they keep my keys safer.

Cool. Yeah it'll probably be the boxes unless a lot of people have objections but I've got plenty of time to figure out how I'll be shipping everything. It may be bubble mailers or boxes, I still have a choice because the boxes were free lol. SP's manufacturing lead time is a month at the moment, and that starts after we submit the order. So expect these in about 6 weeks, I figure I'll leave it open a couple of weeks unless the order rate is higher than I'm expecting. Canadian shipments will be shipped the week of Thanksgiving providing I get the keycaps before then. If not I'll have to either make a separate trip up or make you wait till Christmas lol. I'm starting new threads for this group buy and the Portal group buy now. Well starting to work on them at least. XD
