This week we're having a look at a mechanical, programmable macropad by Focus. Another one of their cool, funky ideas!

You gotta love Focus, even if their stuff is broken half of the time.

I think the only dependable product they made was the FK-2001 and its nice doubleshots. Still one of my favorite full-sized keyboards even if it's not built the best.

I wonder if one could make a custom controller or something for this macropad and solve some of the problems.

The 2001 was also their longest-running product; it ran from the first generation all the way to the third. It appears to have been the last mechanical keyboard they produced; hence why it came in such a variety of layouts, switches, and even different connectors and protocols.

As for trying to fix the problems; I'm sure you could, but you'd be hard-pressed to find one of these, I think. This is the only one I've ever seen.
