@chaumeow: Welcome to Geekhack!

A nice clean setup :)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. Changed keycaps to brand new white labeled ones + red ESC. White keys on black keyboard was always my favourite color scheme.
Also moved the mic underneath the monitor so the setup looks a bit cleaner.

What desk is that?  I've been looking for something like that.

I currently have the Ikea Galant (w/ extension piece) but it's getting way too bulk for my NYC apartment.

I actually got a dining table called the Melltorp
http://www.ikea.com/ca/en/catalog/products/S99849975/
I highly recommend it over all the other office desks at Ikea lol it's pure white in colour and has a smooth, matte finish that'll keep your wrists cool while typing away :)  This one comes in 3 sizes too!

Considering I can see a couch, that may be a living room you're seeing.  And depending on where he lives, that could be a .5 bedroom economy/loft apartment

Close, I live in a 3 room apartment. 1 bath, 1 living room, and this is a 2 in 1 room, half is bedroom, the other half office, with a door separating the two. It's almost like 4 rooms. Not bad.

That's not really an excuse, no post secondary here, and I've been in office jobs since um... HS graduation.

If  you want it, go get it... on  the other hand if what you enjoy doing doesn't involve an office then don't go changing just for the chair.  You need to be happy doing what you do no matter what it is.

Eh. I suppose so.

Doesn't help my overall drive is down, however I do enjoy what I do. Got a better job than what I had previously, and while not an office job and tiring, it's enjoyable.

i dont think i could do an office job either. but it would be nice if it was just one place i had to go to instead of it changing constantly.

but doing construction is fun and it pays well for the most part.

Or those of us who just sit with all of the IT development guys, IE rarely open the code myself - but troubleshoot and debug it from the customer / operations side.  It's easier to walk down the hall to the cube of the guy that wrote the module in the first place.

It's kind of a weird story. I had a kozik apple mousepad that I was trying to trade for a labbit and some dude randomly signed up for an account and offered to trade. I guess he had been looking for the apple for a long time so I let him have it. He told me the artist name of the eyeball, but I don't remember lol.
