akujiwa whats your budget on your setup

I got a chance to audition some Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 speakers they sound awesome for roughly half the cost of the zep. air
you just need to get a decent amp to power them.

200-300? Hook me up, bro!

Just remember Speakers>Amp i would pick up those Wharfedale diamond 10.1 for around 300 or peachtree audio 4.5 have a nice warm sound price has been adjusted on them pretty good 599---->299 usd

I know this recommendation blows away that budget but this is pretty good hifi sound for your buck

As far as amp recommendations: find a cheap one in a used audio shop or New online - If you can get a view of the inside of it, similar to the one of my amp in a previous post LOOK for (stereo for PCsetup) :
- Toroidal power transformer in it as this will provide low noise and cleaner high-current output
Usually if the amp manufacturer has this in their product its probably a good indication they are most likely attention to detail to Sound it produces rather than pure power RMS output which is usally marketed first PIC BELOW- taken from a Cambridge amp on CRUTCHFIELD

(Attachment Link)

-a signnal to noise ratio: > 90 pref. over 100
- and a good DAC e.g. BURR BROWN with a must have USB input OR at least a optical in
then aagain you can use a really good sound card Like a titanium Creative lab then run RCA interconnets to your amp
Also way out of budget including amp and speakers , the Cambridge audio amp shown in pic: about 350 but you get a really good amp > hope this helps :)

I think I would still prefer getting a speaker first. I don't think I'll be able to find Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 over here. Really thinking of opting for the Swan M10s.

Serious? I'm actually looking for a big table, but most of the ones I see are.. either too short in dimension, or just overpriced.

yeah no joking, had to go and pick it up.. but that wasn't a problem. By best advice would be to go through ebay and you might get lucky, as with big tables people mostly just want to get rid of it, rather than making money from it.

better pic of the table when I got it... and that screen is a 24" and the tower sat behind it, is a proper full size lion-li case to give you an idea of scale

A setup that is, er, perhaps slightly less than optimally ergonomic, but loks comfortable.

As long as you don't stand up too quickly ;)
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Well that picture explains a lot of things. I definitely spent 5 minutes looking for it in your other picture. After that timeframe I came to the conclusion that it must have been in the "metaphorical sense" and that "Jaffa-cakes" were some sort of representation of our democratic freedom which wasn't present in the picture. Or that you simply ate them all. Either or works.

My sit/ stand desk and newly built rig.

Definitely need to replace the desk top with something else, maybe stained wood? An acrylic slab might be cool too.

I love that you can set a negative angle on the extended section, nice on your wrists ;)

Need a new monitor w/ an Ergotron arm and better speakers than my GFs Bose

Definitely need to replace the desk top with something else, maybe stained wood? An acrylic slab might be cool too.

I love that you can set a negative angle on the extended section, nice on your wrists ;)

Need a new monitor w/ an Ergotron arm and better speakers than my GFs Bose

ohhh nice setup! is that a fluke i see? and what kind of beer?

Yup, my dad hooked up a Fluke 115 for xmas :D

The beer is a Lagunita's Sucks (Brown Shugga Substitute), It's delicious, especially if you like the Imperial IPA style http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/220/74986

I wish I had a Fluke. I think I am using a DMM my dad got in college, and I seldom use anything but the continuity tester for keyboard stuff, so it would be a waste. :P
