I can probably handle about 250 blues at least, so that's an eight of moq easy.

I would be in for some blues, probably like 110 of them.

Just checking:

The steel plate won't change the plate's thickness, use in most 60% cases will it?

It uses the FaceW firmware.

As explained above it uses FaceW firmware. Winkeyless has an application for Mac and Windows that will create a hex file for the keyboard. It's not as programmer like as TMK which is sad but it is nearly as powerful. I do wish that they would go to something that was internet based so sharing links for layouts was a breeze but yah get what you can take. Honestly I really wish they would allow TMK or have a managed fork for there keyboards. I have always loved them but this has held me back in the past.

That's too bad. I'm exclusively under Linux these days, so this one is no go. I guess I'll have to wait for the next Infinity group buy or maybe Sentraq.

Please fill out this for Gateron Blues IC!
I really have little use for them but I'm getting 20 to, marginally, contribute to the MOQ, along with plate and PCB of course.

People are interested in buying 560 switches currently. Me 400. Let's say we need 1000 more switches to get this one going.

Hey LeandreN,

First of all, i`d like to thank you for making this possible to us EU users (custom taxes+VAT really are a downer sometimes). Regarding this GB, i have some questions

1. The price for a fully soldered PCB with RGB LEDs is 62$, or 62+19=81$ ?

2. The RGB LEDs (underglow) are meant to illuminate the case, right?

3. From what i understand, if we choose to buy Gateron SW, you can`t solder the switches. Is there someone you would recommend regarding SW soldering?

4. Can we mount the whole thing in a case after the switches are soldered on the PCB?

5. The switches you mentioned have a clear housing? I can`t remember if i`ve ever seen Gateron with black housing, just wanted to be sure.

That`s about all.. As you can see, i`m a total noob when it comes to custom keyboards. Hope this GB runs smooth and you don`t have any trouble with it :thumb:

I can solder the switches for you for free if you're willing to pay the whole shipping route (Norway -> Italy -> Romania).

4. Can we mount the whole thing in a case after the switches are soldered on the PCB?
Definetely.

5. The switches you mentioned have a clear housing?
Yes.

Yes, this kind of lighting is best if you use it with an acrylic case.

Are resistors for in-switch LED's pre-soldered or supplied?

We tipped 1600 people for the Gateron IC. That means that Gateron Blues will be available, which is pretty great news.

Making the order form now, i want to make it perfect.

Let me know if you have any questions !

Just want you to know that i will put up some plates in my store for 40$ shipped EU. This 4$ more than it would probably be in my GB(depending on what you order), however, you will get them much faster.

Also, they are orange and grey :D

Good morning/ night / afternoon / noon!

The GB is now open for orders. Please read carefully before you place the order, also tell your friends. More orders is great.

Gateron Blues is the ONLY switch that will be available. The switch is PCB mounted.

Stabilisers, PCBs and plates is the other things you can order.

I am happy to announce that Carbon Fiber plates will be available, at the usual price. If i get more than 10 orders of those, i might be able to give a discount.

Contact me here: leandre.north@gmail if you have a super large orders.

Remember that the first orders, will ship first.

Here is the order form.

Ordered.
One question. I don't really need LEDs on every switches so I went for the diodes + controller only board.
Do I need to solder resistores on every switch or just the ones I want LEDs in?

I am pretty sure you only need resistors in the LEDs you are using. I will send a message to Winkeyless to confirm that. Also, the resistors are SMD style, not trough hole.

If you are from the US, you have two options, but yes, the second one "International" is probably the right one for most people.

I have been looking into buying a GON PCB and was was thinking of fitting some underglow LED's. Then sticking the whole thing in a TEX acrylic case I have lying around. Since this one is RGB seems to me that this one is the better option. Can I change the color to whatever I want or will it constantly show a rainbow of colors? Follow up question. If you can change the color of the LED's, how do you do that?
