I'm back after a long time. I can't follow your GB sorry :(
Now I want steel plate for Sprit 60 PCB. Is plates in this GB support my PCB?

Yes, they work great with the Sprit 60% PCB. That's the same PCB he's selling in this GB. :)

I thought Sprit's PCB was the FaceW? It looks like this GB is for the b.face X2, no?

Should fit regardless.

I have been looking into buying a GON PCB and was was thinking of fitting some underglow LED's. Then sticking the whole thing in a TEX acrylic case I have lying around. Since this one is RGB seems to me that this one is the better option. Can I change the color to whatever I want or will it constantly show a rainbow of colors? Follow up question. If you can change the color of the LED's, how do you do that?

I'm still a noob when it comes to this stuff, someone would have to back me up. I'm pretty sure you program the PCB (with software or in bios?) on how to switch colors. Whichever LEDs you buy would have a set number of colors and by programming the keyboard you're basically able tell the LEDs to do what you want when a certain key combination is pressed.

So I'd imagine you could program the keyboard to cycle through LED colors or rainbow depending on what you want.

Yes you can. This time you will get it in a cardboard box, so no worries about a bent plate ;-)

Please note that the plates only support PCB mounted stabilisers.

Here is a message regarding RGB underglow + TEX cases:

Early PCBs had an LED strip. You can kind of adjust those. Now the RGB LEDs get soldered directly to the PCB.

If you look inside the TEX case, there are ridges that are inside the body of the case. On acrylic Tex builds using the b.face with RGB, people use a rotary tool to cut space to fit the LEDs!
Ziptyze cases (z-cases) have the ridges purposely removed. They are best case for price...

I can get a excact picture for you, but this is the only picture i could find:

It is basically this without the "white paint". Together with some bubblewrap, it will be safe.

"underlow led" = No in-switch LED?

How does programmability work? I would want this layout, it's possible?

>"underlow led" = No in-switch LED?

You can have both at the same time if you want.

That layout would be possible. And i really like it actually. You use the Winkeyless bootloader when you program. That is a GUI so it should work easy.

Sounds very nice but how is OS X compatibility? Once it's programmed in the bootloader (i'm assuming windows .exe) it persists across reboots and other OS?

What is LED control like? Brightness/on-off?

Expected ship time?

This plate fits?

Yes i think they even have a program for OSX(i am not 100% sure).

>What is LED control like? Brightness/on-off?

I think breathe effect and typing(vibrant leds) not typing(leds off) is a feature.

Expected shipping time is 2  months after GB close.(29th of November)

I've joined too.

Just for curiosity, how hard is it to write a working layout to the PCB? I want to use a mix of ISO and ANSI - long Enter and the 1.25 Shift with the extra 1u key, and the same fn layer I know and love on my Pok3r.

This is an excellent post explaining how the keymapping works on the Winkeyless boards. It is fairly straight forward guide, i am sure you can make the layout you are asking for.

Works with OSX just like a pok3r does. The control, windows, etc. just function as their mac equivalents.

Thank you so much for the orders. I really think that people have starting trusting my GBs, and that is fantastic. Thanks to all the orders, i can drop the price of the Tier 2 PCB to 59$. This is 3$ cheaper per PCB.

Tier 1 PCB (diodes +  controller parts) = 49$

Tier 2 PCB (diodes, controller parts and resistors) = 59$

Tier 3 PCB (diodes, controller parts, resistors and RGB underglow parts) = 78$

I have also removed the (+2$) on the steel plates. They are now just 30$, like the aluminium plates.

I hope this helps even more people joining the GB. Please invite your family, friends and colleagues to join!

PS: The expected shipping time is reduced from 2 months after invoicing to 1,5 months :)

So since it uses FaceW firmware, then it's not Linux compatible? I'm very interested in this buy, however I primarily use Linux so I want to make sure everything will work.  Also, is there a picture of the gunmetal plate anywhere?

From my understanding, the keyboard will work under Linux. But in order to reprogram it, it will be necessary to use Windows.

Correct, as far as I know. If anyone finds a way to flash on Linux that would be helpful for me.

But, of course, it would work fine under linux. It's sending the same key codes

Someone will need to work on this: https://github.com/showjean/ps2avrU . This also might be helpful: https://github.com/tmk/tmk_keyboard/issues/186

Unfortunately I'm not familiar enough with these stuff. And the FaceW firmware also doesn't support SpaceFn which I  require, so I've given up and will only get a board supported by TMK for now.

It is possible to (re-)program faceW PCBs both in linux and on mac os x. First, to get a hex file with your preferred keymap, just use the online flash thingy here: http://winkeyless.kr/bootMapper/

Once you have the hex file:
1) Put the board into the bootloader mode (hold Q and plug in the board). It enumerates as "bootloadHID" - that's the bootloader these boards use.
2) Use the bootloadHID command line program to upload the hex to the board.

You can either compile bootloadHID yourself from sources; or for mac os x I've already uploaded once a binary (compiled on my machine) that you can just unpack and use here. (I can probably also make linux binaries if someone needs.)
