UPDATE

Postage prices along with some other price changes makes it impossible for me to give people who bought a Tier 3 PCB a refund. Sorry.

All the money now has to be used on shipping and packaging materials.

Sorry.

If anyone who wanted a refund for their Tier 3 costs happens to also be a Vim fan, I can send you a free HJKL and Caps Lock replacement kit (normally $15). I might not be able to do this for everyone (I have no idea how many are affected), but I'd like to support LeandreN's hard work if I can.

I've actually looked at your vim caps to buy as a present for a colleague who is a vim user (to push him to buy a mech ;) ) but the full price with international shipping was a little too steep (for a gift). If you could give me a discount on a set (would prefer DSA), both me and my colleague would appreciate it ;)

EDIT: And as seen earlier, I payed for Tier3, so hopefully I'm eligible.

Dude! This is so awesome! I can't give refund the difference between the tier 2 & 3, but here you come with these awesome keys. Even if you can't help everybody, this is just awesome. Thanks a lot.

I'll ship them for free, just PM me your order number when you're done and I'll refund you the shipping. Alternatively, PM me your email address and I'll send an invoice.

Any chance they will be ever made in Cherry/DCS profile?

I've looked into it, but I need to see if I can break-even first. I love Vim and mechs, so I will keep this going as long as I can...

Edit: I don't want to hijack LeandreN's thread anymore than I already have, but I have an "Artisan" thread, if anyone has more questions...

Thanks for your amazing work LeandreN! Been reading all the updates and seeing all the pics got me super excited but I just now realized I'm this much closer to my first custom 60% board! Since I'm not waiting on switches, it should be soon! HYPE!

My first post... and its a BIG thank you to LeandreN for letting me get in on this GB when I wasn't a member of GH or Reddit (That shouldn't be an issue anymore). I also wanted to say thank you for getting me a Tire 2 PCB (robertcalvert).

Im so hyped for my first GB... I cant wait to see everyone's builds  ;D

Did the GB #1 plate have plate mounted stabilizers? I really want to do a hand wired 60% in ISO but cant find a plate in ISO that has plate mounted stabilizers.

IIRC, yes, stabilizers cutouts should be cross compatible with either Costar, Cherry plate mounted and Cherry PCB mounted. But let's have LeandreN confirm this, I might be wrong.

Wow! This is my frist GB and I'm super impressed. I always avoided GBs and stuck to commercial websites because I always thought that GB's would be handled slowly/leaders would be unresponsive/unprofessional.
You've proved me wrong with all of those statements LeandreN.
You have been more responsive and efficient than I could dream of a normal retailer being.

Thank you so much, I will be much more inclined to join group buys from now on and thank you so much for a Tier 2 PCB.

P.S. This community in general is awesome.
Custom 60%: Cherry MX blues with 62g gold springs and PBT Black on Black dyesub keycaps.

Sure, 20 Gaterons will be shipped with your order.

I think i even managed to get PCB mounted Gateron blues special orders, but you never know with orders from China.

Nice! Plates mostly improve the feels, but will probably augment the sound, especially steel. :D

Oh, well I got a black alu plate to hide the white pcb in my otherwise mostly all black build.

At any rate, this is a fantastic keyboard so far (had mine assembled for about a week). Havent figured out next/prev track media keys on a mac yet though :(

Some media keycodes aren't supported on Mac. Check out this sheet for supported keycodes

It does list next/prev track as supported though, try some event capture utility on whatever the keyboard device enumerates to under whatever OS X's equivilent to /dev/input? Even though the Keyboard emits the event, the OS has to listen and handle it some way.

Thanks for that list!

I think i have 2 options:
* Make a crazy mapping for next/prev (e.g. ctrl+opt+cmd+n for next) and have a custom macro send that sequence
* Hack the firmware to send the correct code.

I'd like to go the firmware route since that would be more compatible and others would find it useful. If I ever figure it out, I'll post it somewhere.

Couldn't you use something like Keyboard Maestro or Karabiner? Or even an Alfred workflow?

Yes, but i figure that modifying the firmware will be more compatible with all mac apps and will be more useful for other people in the future.
