And yes, the ugly USB cable will be replaced :D

ISO GER, white in-switch LEDs, PBT Vortex set for now ... really waiting for their doubleshot PBT backlit ISOs
Wow, your build looks amazing. Makes me even more excited to get my stuff  ;D
Did your PCB happen to come with resistors for the in switch LEDs?
All the PCBs have resistors for switch leds.
Ok, good to hear! Thanks.
Also, should switches be soldered in before the switch LEDs or other way around?
I always do the switches first.
Ah ok. Thank you I will probably do it this way then  :)

Forgot to tell everyone that I got my order lika a week ago. All looks good. The stainless plate look a bit "dirty" but as I have understood that's normal.
Thanks for a quality service!

Round 4 Round 3 Style Dolch, Cherry Clear switches, Green Plate, Tier 3 PCB, split right shift, cheapo transparent plastic case.

Thanks Leandren for organising this group buy. I hereby declare that my 60% buying is finished. Next project will be something  completely different :)

P.S. How do I change RGB mode via keyboard? I can't get it to work...

:D Fantastic. Where is that keyset from?

This means i need to do a GB for other layouts...

I think you only can change the RGB LEDs from the software, or add it as hotkeys, not entirely sure.

Keyset is https://deskthority.net/wiki/Round4_Round3 from deskthority user 7bit. DCS profile dolch. Was very lucky to find it used from a guy in finland who had a german layout :)

Hotkeys let me turn them on and off, nothing else sadly.

Ha glad you like it. The OG Skidata set is just perfect for this layout with the short right shift and right profile cursor keys to fill in the gaps ... so happy with the result :)

Skidata keyboards were available on ebay here in large amounts for 90€. That's already a steal for the incredible amount of MX Clear switches you can harvest from those things ...

It was mainly a fast color check ....still undecided on the layout though...completely.
Was dead sure to use korean style 7u spacebar with 1.5u bottom row but now I'm playing around with different possibilities...which is nice too  :))

Your right shift key switch is in the spot for a 2.75u key, but you have also have a switch in the spot for the split shift option.

No worries, was only making sure I have enough ergo clears lubed and sip'ed for the worst case layout scenario :)

Mine arrived last week. Had to wait for the acrylic case from massdrop which arrived yesterday. Dermeling the case wasn't as hard as I thought. Had a small issue with the spacebar stabilizer wire not fitting between the pcb and the plate though, but nothing a little bending couldn't fix. I'm really happy with how it turned out. The frosted acrylic case from massdrop looks great with the RGB leds.

This build is damn gorgeous. It's such a shame oversold the blue plates, so i have none for myself.

The plate should still be fixable, aluminum is very malleable.

My stuff arrived in Hong Kong today, unfortunately the box was damaged.

I can't remember what I ordered, is there anywhere I can check? Just to make sure everything arrived OK.

For the PCB do we have to remove the edges of the PCB which look kind of perforated, and whats the best way to remove them?

All the completed builds look great!

Unfortunately I broke one of the stems(?) on a stabilizer when trying to snap it into the PCB. Does anyone know where I can buy another stabilizer set? Or is it possible that it'd be ok with just 3/4 of the corners in place?

I saw ortholinear kb sells them, but when I try to checkout it says there are no shipping methods for my address. ZealPC also sells sets, but I'm trying to avoid the $15 shipping for a $1 part :P

Not sure if this is the place to ask or if I should be PMing, but are there any unpaid for PCBs available still? I see a few unpaid for orders in the Google doc in the OP.

If not, is there any idea when another GB like this is going to occur? I'm dying to break in my new soldering iron on something more exciting than the Falcon-8.

Quick question: Does anyone else have trouble fitting Zealios flush with the PCB without cutting the PCB pins on the switch? Or is cutting those pins something you have to do with Zealios on this board?

But plate is still have some swarf. Hope you 'll clean it in future GB. Anyway, thanks for your effect, LeandreN :thumb:

Yeah, my Zealios aren't quite flush either, but they seem to be in as far as I can get them. At this point it's too much of a hassle to take all the switches out to clip the legs. I don't think there will be any issues, but we'll see.

hey guys I made a tutorial for just this problem

better than clipping the nubs because you retain the stability, and quicker than filing them down too.

Got my stuff today!

Quick question: Does anyone else have trouble fitting Zealios flush with the PCB without cutting the PCB pins on the switch? Or is cutting those pins something you have to do with Zealios on this board?

Yeah, my Zealios aren't quite flush either, but they seem to be in as far as I can get them. At this point it's too much of a hassle to take all the switches out to clip the legs. I don't think there will be any issues, but we'll see.

hey guys I made a tutorial for just this problem

better than clipping the nubs because you retain the stability, and quicker than filing them down too.
Nice! I wish I had thought of this before. I just pushed hard. Lol.

I got my stuff today! Well, actually yesterday, but I was working from home and didn't feel like driving an hour in the snow to pick it up.

There was basically zero shipping damage to my order. The box looked completely intact:

Everything unpacked:

It turned out that the plate was bowed downwards slightly (I didn't notice until I set it on a flat surface), but I fixed that with some very gentle bending. Other than that, everything was perfect. 10/10 would buy again.

Thanks, LeandreN!

Sound good when it's fixed. I had same trouble in first round.
