Got bored at the conference I was at today so I made a backdrop in Sketchbook.  It's not fantastic since I'm still learning it, used a trackpad and not a mouse, and didn't spend a ton of time on it, but it was a fun little thing to do.

It's supposed to say Dolly, but it's hard to sign with a trackpad.  It's a re-envisioning of my Dolly.

Back to windows shell and a more "modern" theme. Doesn't fit as well together as my old theme but I eventually got tired of it.

I decided to ditch buggy behemoths Gnome 3 and Cinnamon this weekend, and go back to basics. Last night I cobbled together a minimalistic OpenBox setup. I'm quite pleased with it so far:

LOL computer tells you what to wear.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Speaking of Rainmeter, I added VU meter to my setup awhile back... and I did some quik edit to add the 2 more cores bar to the CPU meter for my hex core.

Otherwise it's the same...

I also discovered yesterday that Rainmeter gets really mad if you have set documents (where skins are saved default) to onedrive and didn't make sure they are available offline.
