[IC] ØBLIVIATE • FRL TKL O-Ring Mounted Keyboard
« on: Tue, 31 October 2023, 18:57:36 »

ØBLIVIATE
Monoblock Case FRL TKL O-Ring Mounted Keyboard

0. Status
Prototype #1 is currently being tested, design is based on the earlier version. Prototype #2 on production, will implement the new appearance as the latest render

1. Intro
Hello everyone! I'm excited to introduce Øbliviate, a FRL TKL keyboard layout featuring an o-ring mount within a single monoblock design. The concept behind Øbliviate is to deliver a 60% O-ring keyboard experience by dividing the alphanumeric cluster and navigation cluster into separate sections. The hypothesis behind this design is that by having separate sections between each cluster, the inner wall will create a friction fit with the PCB and plate, impacting both sound and typing feel.

Interest check is now open.

9. Manufacturer

We will work with Shenzhen Dadesin Prototype Co., Ltd. We still believe that good quality ain’t cheap. We have tried many manufacturers in the past and the price never lies. Øbliviate will be manufactured by one of the good manufacturers who has worked on big-name projects before.

10. FAQ

Q: Why the price is too high?
A: A nature of production, less quantity less price vice versa, we offer a “the more the merrier” format, the more people join the group buy, the cheaper it will get.

Q: How we can track how many people have joined the project as it will affect the price?
A: We will provide transparency by sharing the submission sheet with masked privacy information to track the quantity.

Q: How does the payment work?
A: After you submit an order, we will charge based on 50pcs price at first. If the quantity does not reach the goals, secondary payment will apply based on order quantity.

Q: Is there any other plate materials?
A: Yes we will offer aluminum and polycarbonate plates for extra parts

Is this the set design now? Personally I much prefer the original front with the straight cherry lip. Kinda a deal breaker for me TBH, but GLWIC!
