What is the best way to legend keycaps after doubleshot?

Dye sublimation is what is commonly used on better caps.
However you can only go darker and it's a tricky process that you probably won't get right on the first try. This can be done with a clothes iron but your results will be less consistent than with a heat press and getting it really wrong means melting a keycap. You can also laser a legend then infill it with something like colored powder (from a laser printer, liquid paper or actual ground plastic), this can go lighter or darker but obviously requires a laser and can go very wrong from melted caps to loss of vision if you don't know lasers. After that your best bet is water transfer or paint with a small dab of clear coat to protect it.
