I absolutely love the "top surrounds bottom" design on small boards like a 40%. It just fits so nicely since the small height means the top doesn't stick out awkwardly.

I agree with other commentors, the only problem I have with this board is the bottom row. Regardless of WKL, for me personally, that position for the spacebar makes this not comfortable to use.

Here's my suggestion:

Show Image

The benefits of making the board WKL 1.5 instead of the 1.25 and removing the 1u is that it puts the split space keys in positions where your thumbs rest when sitting on the home row making using the keyboard with split space much more comfortable. Of course this has the big drawback of removing the option for using full size spacebar. That's unfortunate for some but for me it's necessary.

Personally I like this. Less cluttered compared to the 3-piece split spacebars.

On the other hand, for those who use 6u spacebars, how would you source 6u stabs? Do you just bend & clip a 7u stab?

3 way split space is 10/10 great looking board! definitely in on this as long as the price isn't too crazy.
I can make acrylic laser cut cases/plates PM for info

The craziness of WKL, Split Space 40 with an ISO enter is great. I can't wait to see more. I hope the pricing works out to be reasonable.

I may give the EQNX a try. Even when I have not acclimated to any under 60% keyboard yet.

Any news? I'm really stoked on this one!

The only thing on my wishlist here would be an additional column to the right. This would allow for DVORAK layouts as well. And because this keeb is already so damn awesome, while it doesn't allow for regular Nordic layouts, an additional column would allow for full Nordic DVORAK (basing this on the official Norwegian layout which is also fully implementable for Swedish, Danish and Finnish).

Either way, this is too cool to pass up on! :thumb:

Sweet! That'd allow for layouts such as the following freak Swedish DVORAK layout:

huge fan of the triple split space layout. that's what i have on all of my TGR boards.
And clearly Sam is doing something right.

having the reversible split layout can actually afford you to do a symmetrical spacebar split, if you want. Which is a big draw for me.

That said, I would prefer if the 'alt' keys were 1u maybe? making the blockers 1.25. the way it currently breaks on the left side isn't staggered and it just looks off to me.

If it's unlimited units from japan, does that mean we can just order internationally from there if the rest of the spots get taken?

Edit: their store doesn't ship outside of Japan from what I can see
