Update: Unfortunately things were looking grim for MOQ and as a result we had no choice but to terminate the GB for GMK Sparta.Thank you all so much for your support in these past few months and I'm sorry we couldn't make it.

The Spartans were some of the fiercest warriors of the ancient world,
the sound of their name alone caused fear in the hearts of their enemies.
However they were not only known for their prowess in the battlefield
but for their way of life as well.They led simple lives devoted to harsh training
in order to become soldiers of one of the greatest armies ever to walk the earth.

This set aims to capture the spirit of Sparta through the elegant yet striking colors
while staying historically true to their color palette.

I've been looking forward to this one. Although it saddens me that the deskmats aren't available through the EU proxy; I would have loved to get me one of the light deskmats.

Yeah, i was a bit dissapointed in this too.
Was looking forward to get it but with shipping and taxes it would get at least twice more expensive.

One more question: when i look up to the "red" ral color ( https://www.ralcolorchart.com/ral-classic/ral-3011-brown-red ) it looks a bit lighter in comparison to the darker burgundy type red on the renders and kit pictures.
Is it going to be more like the link i posted or like the renders in reality ?

That color looks a bit lighter on screen,I have the physical color samples and It looks like the renders (i will post the samples on this thread when i can get my buddy to get decent pictures).

Cancelled?! Don't lose hope! If Handarbeit can make MOQ, surely this can!

That said, I do believe separating the Greek from the base kit and making the child kit so large (expensive) hurt the appeal of the set. Perhaps you can make some tweaks for a rerun later. Maybe it can be run in KAT with reverse dye sub.

Was actually going to redo anodization for one of the keyboard specifically for this set....

I honestly think this would pass the MOQ, it’s too early to call. Usually on the last few day it will spike.

It’s a bitter sadness to see this one canceled before the deadline.

This is disappointing. I was about to pay for 2 sets when i saw it got removed from the site. There were still more than 2 weeks left, so i am not sure why it got cancelled so early. One of the best sets i've ever seen. Hopefully it'll come back soon.

I guess lucky me as i was about to send in a board for cerakote to match this keyset.

Instead of dropping it completely, would you consider some adjustments on the set and put it back to IC to see if it will get any more attentions?
Personally, I would love to have the letters on alpha keys in red instead of gold.

This is probably just a poorly timed run with many anticipated kits like ++, NN, and new Rama and KC boards. Probably the largest contributor being Christmas and Black Friday / Cyber Monday. Look at MOQ for all the other sets; I think only Terra is close.

I hope you decide to rerun this set after the holiday season.

Genuinely surprised to see this set get cancelled, I would have picked it up after payday.

My only critique would be the Rama key, personally would have preferred a spartan helmet or something more symbolic.

Here’s to hoping this GB will get restarted in a few weeks. Hell, even GMK Necro met MOQ eventually.

I hope it will be restarted soon. It would've hit moq for sure. Cancellation just before payday and when black friday is active ain't the best period in my opinion.
Only suggestionncould be the font of the alphas to be the red ral instead of the gold one in order for better contrast.

Initial response was surprisingly slow, but I felt confident that it would pick up especially towards the tail end of the GB.
I don't actually have any experience of running a GB, but I strongly believe that the decision was a bit hasty.

Same. Similar to katakanas for Terra. I'd be interested in the decision making process for GB's. Is it a mutual decision between the GB runner and vendors? Is extending the GB not an option? Are the vendors making the call because they do not want to be burdened by the refund process?

Other than issuing refunds, I don't follow how it would negatively impact anyone to keep the GB open. Would someone in the know care to ELI5?

Is there an possibility of opening the GB back up at a later date? I actually really like this set and would have bought it had there not been several other sets running in addition to the holidays coming up. It was just really bad timing tbh, and I think this set could easily reach moq if it ran in Q1 or Q2 of next year.
