It’s my birthday today and I think this will make a fine present :P. Hopefully we can edit the form later... picking a name tag font is gonna take a bit! I’m in!

Could someone explain that gasket to me? The board is top mount (?) but the gasket is underneath the plate? So is it top and sandwich or is the gasket not compressed and it's just chilling between the plate and PCB for... Reasons?

It's top mount, so not really unless you half tighten the screws?

He clarified in the IC thread. It can be either normal top mount or gasket mount. He indicated he designed the gakset implementation to be identical to the 356mini.

Ok so I guess in order to build it gasket you simply don't use the top mount screws, and the top mount wings serve as the sandwich to compress the gasket against those square standoffs. Or you leave it out and just top mount.

That makes sense, thanks, distinct lack of info on the construction above!

What is the difference between e-white and MAO?

E-white is electrocoated, which is a paint coating method where the object to be coated is dipped in a bath and then has an electric charge applied, attracting the paint.  Used a lot of automotive, tends to give a very even high quality coating over complex shapes.  Think powdercoating but better.  Electrocoated white can be a very true pure white.

MAO is microarc oxidation, which is a electrochemical treatment very similar to anodization, but with much much higher voltages.  This makes a much thicker oxidation layer than standard ano.  You can get close to white with MAO, but not all the way, it tends to look grey-ish.

ok, so e-white is powdercoated. mao is still an anodization process. got it

In for a PC. Can anybody comment on the sound signature of a Polycarb? I'm looking for a deeper sound in a keyboard (only owned Alu cases) and I heard that Polycarb can provide that? If it helps I went with brass everything else (wanted some heft)

So we just submit another form if we want to change order and put reference to first and “final” in comment? Seems like that would affect 100 count

Just filled my order out! That polycarb version is super tempting, but I ended up going alum. wkl. I picked dark red top/bottom, brass PVD full plate, white A weight, dark red B weight, with a white name plate that's gonna have my user name on it, & an extra blank nameplate in white. I think this board will be the perfect home for my set of GMK Jamon & that is what I chose my colors around. Gonna wait on the Think6.5 to be my first polycarb board. :thumb:

how does this work by the way? Will it end being a 'raffle' type if more than 100 people submitted a form?
