It was $26, dropped down to $17. It's a giant black mousepad. I hate razers obnoxious branding. I really need one for my office.

Which is better? The XTracPads Ripper XXL or this Mionix Sargas 900? I think the microfiber on this one might make it too grippy. I use all weights in my mouse.

I can't speak for the XTracPads, but I own a Sargas 320 and it's pretty slippery and fast imo. As you very well know, I'm using a Naos 8200 (no weights), but you may have different experiences with a weighted mouse.
My advice would be to buy it and return it if you don't like it

I just realized that it'd have to fit on my desk under the stupid legs of my apple studio display CRT, each of which supports 20-30 lbs

I have been using the mousepad all day long and I really like it. However the edges peel very easy.

Maybe Ill try to melt it down or stich the areas where it may be prone to peeling.

Yeah, it's hard for me to find a flat monitor that I can't see "flicker". My apple CRT does 85Hz, which is 5-15 Hz above my flicker threshold (Depending on time of day). I've been told it's the backlight and that I need to visit microcenter when I visit my folks in Boston because theirs is newer and the LED's in the backlight are set to a reasonable PWM rate.

How bad is the peeling? I'm interested to know, as I tend to rest the side of my arm against the edge of these things, making them peel pretty quick if they are prone to it.

My Ensis 320 is killer as is my Naos 5400, so this is tempting even though I have no real need for it. I've become a bit of a Mionix fanboy.

Pretty bad, I bought two and its the same on both.
I can see the peel becoming very noticeable in a couple more days.

I may return them if I cant get it to stick...

The mousepad functions and feels great though! Bummer.

The edges on mine are scratchy. I bought a 2nd wrist rest to keep my arm from getting scratched, added benefit is better ergonomics for my fingertip grip.

I use an "Artistic Krystal View" desk cover. It makes most of my desk into a mouse pad.

That quick? How is is besides that? 17 bucks for a massive deskmat like that must have been a good deal.
I have the Artisan Zero mousepad. It is only 10 bucks on amazon and I think it is great!
