Based on the article numbers, it should be doubleshot ABS.

shipping $390.62 (approx. 8,311,063.83 VND)
wow :))
btw, that is helvetica legend, so it must be pad printed, not doubleshot

If you're looking for a set of these, this seller has new ones and accepts offers of $30 USD (or did when I go mine off him)

Could be then. I was just going off the model numbers.

These definitely are.

They've got scoops and the model starts with an H, so it should be.

Yup, compared with my shiny DS set, best way IMO is the position of the ^ on the 6 key, if its really low hanging its a DS, otherwise its other type.
Also after looking at many many g81s, I belive G81 numbers are hit or miss. A lot of times there's H in the number but its lasered POM...

Shift legends are also thicker. G81 numbers are pretty good usually, at least in relation to keycaps. I personally think its the seller getting large lots of these keyboards and picking one label to photograph without looking at all of them, leading to mismatches like in nubbinator's OP.
-
I always first look at the G legend, you know it's Cherry DS if there're no little tail on it :D Also notice the thickness of the legend too

It happens more than you think. its pretty annoying when you're looking for a set of doubleshots and everything is POM

At least now you have a few good tips to identify them by sight :p

Yea :p Having a set in front of you helps a lot, but even still, I never noticed the stem on the G key. The more you know

What I've noticed:
The pad/laser ~ is smaller than the doubleshot ~. The doubleshot tilde is about half the width of the cap.
Prt Sc / Sys Rq and Pause / Break are on the same plane on pad/laser Cherry caps, while doubleshot Cherry caps have Sys Rq and Break on the fronts of the caps.
My guess is that the keyboard in the first post is a G81-HPBUS-2 that was sent in for refurbishing. This resulted in the shiny caps being replaced with laser-etched caps. What's strange, though, is that in the picture near the bottom of the listing is a keyboard that very likely is an intact G81-HPBUS-2. Just a guess, but it's probably the kind of thing where they have a large stock of these keyboards in various states of wear.
-
When in doubt, 'ask a question' of the seller, requesting that they confirm that the picture matches what they're going to send you, and confirm the model number from the back. Often they're like "yep, it's not the same model number as listed in the ad. sorry." – of course, they then don’t bother to change the ad title / text; pretty irresponsible, but whatever.

You can have scoops on lasered POM.
-
I think a lot of boards were sent back to cherry to get refurbed and cherry put on POMs instead of DS keys resulting in incorrect #s

These are GMK right?
-
These are GMK right?
OG cherry POM
-
These are GMK right?
No.
They should be original cherry.
-
Is POM the material or profile?
-
Is POM the material or profile?
material
cherry is always cherry profile
-
Is GMK a modern cherry profile then?
-
Is GMK a modern cherry profile then?
gmk bought cherry hardware to make caps
-
Ok thanks!
-
I'm quite sorry if this is a dumb question, but those caps would be comparable with the ones you'd get through GMK today, right? It's only some of the bottom row caps and modifiers that wouldn't be compatible with more modern layouts today?

Correct and depending on how 'used' these are some keys will be very shiny and the keys on the right side will have a slightly different profile than what you might expect due to the layout being different.

For these boards the answer is NO. They are NOT doubleshot. : http://www.ebay.com/itm/Cherry-MultiBoard-Keyboard-G81-7000-G81-7000HPBUS-2-with-Card-Reader-/200824157908?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2ec20d76d4

As always, talk to the guy... I almost pulled the trigger on a functional P70 briefcase computer a while ago and when asked the seller dropped shipping from 90AUD to 30AUD cause he actually checked the rate instead of putting in some random number...

No, I trust it could be accurate. Because, UPS. The most reasonable way to get heavy keyboard out of USA|Canada is plain registered parcel. It's about 70$ even for model F (and everyone knows how heavy those suckers are).
-
Could I use these to do a full replacement of the keycaps on my QuickFire Stealth?

$60 intl priority to Australia for the last 122-key F I bought seems quite reasonable if you ask me....

The USPS has excellent rateds for international postage. UPS has very expensive rates for international postage. $600 seems about right for them.

*Sigh*... silly sellers.... If I'm shipping internationally, I use localpost or FedEx, which last I checked would ship 5kg of a 48-port switch to Finland for ~300AUD...
-
I just realized how cheaper USPS was about a day ago.... I shipped a pair of running shoes that were about .1 pound a month ago for $25 via UPS w/o shipping. Yesterday, I shipped a 2 pound keyboard for $12 with shipping.

Could I use these to do a full replacement of the keycaps on my QuickFire Stealth?
Afraid not... the Cherry caps lock has an off center stem. On both the G81-3000 and 7000 there's nonstandard bottom-row modifier keys. At least I heard something bout the 3000 having off-center stems on those keys, which just sounds awful. Not sure about that part, but definitely the caps lock won't fit.

not even close
small r shift, stepped caps, 1x 0 key, incorrect bottom row. its a no go
