Universal60 plates - DESIGNED BY JDCARPE - 25/30$ - original plates used in my two GBs before. Reliable and a favourite design by JDcarpe. Supports almost any layout imaginable. If you want winkeyless or HHKB layouts, without the winkeys i suggest going for the proprietary HHKB/winkeyless plates for better looks.



GON Nerd60 MEKANISK edition - 60$ - available in the exclusive colours mint and white. Read about the PCB here.



and will of course be available in mintblue colour!


Stabilisers - 8$ - available in both 7u and 6.25u from GON

HHKB and winkeyless plates -  UNIVERSAL  - DESIGNED BY JDCARPE - 25/30$ - these plates doesn NOT have a cutout where there are no keys used in the specific layout. This looks much better than looking through the plate and onto the PCB when there is no switch there.

These are MX compatible plates for custom 60% builds. They are not made for the original HHKB.

The winkeyless plates are 1.5u - covered 1u - 1.5u - 7u- 1.5u - covered 1u - 1.5u
1.75u + 1u or 2.75u shift on the right side.
UNIVERSAL (ISO/ANSI)
Stepped caps lock.
This is for your OG fans-
Covered means that you can't put a switch there.

The HHKB plates are : covered covered 1.5u- 1u - 1.5u - 7u - 1u - 1.5u - covered 1.5u
1.75u + 1u or 2.75u shift on the right side.

The only thing you need is keycaps and a case, which can be cheap, or expensive depending on the build you want to go for.

SEPA will have a small currency exchange fee of 2,19€

Would you consider also offering winkeyless with 1u keys between the 1.5 mods on the bottom row, and a stepped capslock?

Yeah it is, and the universal plate could be used with cases that have built in win blockers.

I was just wondering since he made one just for boards with blockers.  ANSI only option would be really nice also

Waiting for the order form to understand the details.  I have the royal glam wooden case coming from Massdrop soon, I'm thinking this would be perfect for it.  Now... which switches??  I've got zelios 65s, cherry blue, cherry red, cherry brown and matias click already.  Need something different from the Gateron world... maybe browns?

You can use the Universal60 plate for that

I promise you, it has been asked.

Due to the postal courier here and their package size limitations, it will be very expensive to ship a TKL plate. I am looking into it though, and it will be available as soon I have figured it out!

As an engineer who works with CFRP on a regular basis, can you explain more? I assume these are just dyed/painted for the top layer ply right? Prepregs don't come in silver as far as I know (but then again, the prepregs I work with are used for structural purposes, not particularly concerned with aesthetics)

1. Diodes and Resistors were soldered from last GB so I assume they will be this round.
2. SMDs you will need to do yourself. RGB smds are not compatible with GON.
3. Cherry Stabs? What kind? Plate or PCB...? PCB mounted stabs is a yes.

Toolkit? GON has software made for dummies like ourselves.

I guess because having a HHKB layout with 6.25u spacebar would be asymmetrical. Also the PCB wouldn't support 1.25u+1u on the sides (I don't think... but I could be wrong)

this is correct - you can't really make a 100% copy of the hhkb on a mx keyboard, as all the universal pcb's etc. are designed around either 1.25 - 1.25 - 1.25 - 6.2 or 1.5 - 1 - 1.5 - 7, so the best way to make it look as hhkb as possible is to just remove the 1.5x mods on the side.

HHKB uses 6u. 7u just makes it look nice and symmetrical.

PCB support for the real layout just isn't there especially with all the universal 60 PCBs.

Symmetry isn't a good thing in my opinion tho. Love the unsymmetrical look of a real hhkb and things to be unsymmetrical in general.

7u is also because it's basically winkeyless layout (with winkeys), minus the far left and far right 1.5u mods.
