#TheAmountOfGeekHackLoveIsCrazy, seriously, thanks for doing the giveaway Bro.

So i unfortunately moved away from the family to Japan this year since i've always wanted to but i paid the price by leaving my family and friends so all i got this year was this Wasabi flavored Pretz from my wife's Co-workers.

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

On the other hand the family sent over a lot of money to buy my daughter a ton of lego which i get to play with as well so it's not all so bad.

Only lonely cherry MX atm.

I had a pretty good Christmas / Birthday

Mom got me; drill/impact gun combo, big tool box, a huge box of drill bit accessories, a new George Foreman grill (I'm currently going into year 3 of my weightless/get fit journey), a few pair of gym shorts, 3 polos (I don't wear tees), a sweater, GOT steel case, media storage tower, PS4 controller charging dock, power lifting knee wraps, mens grooming set

My uncle also got me a DeWalt impact gun and droll accessories

I am MX only

Potato Cam FTL

My mom walked away with about $400 worth of stuff from me, hence why I haven't bought anything recently

That White Walker v2 is awesome! I would normally sit this one out since I was lucky enough to get one of the Icestorm Bros but that White Walker v2 is just too cool. Either Topre or MX would be fine.

My biggest gift this year was being able to give my daughter a couple really nice, big gifts that were all brand new. In years past our finances were a lot tighter so we had to buy mostly second-hand toys for her but this year we are doing a lot better so my wife and I were overjoyed to be able to buy her all new stuff  :D

That wasn't my only gift though, I got some jeans and a really nice LL Bean winter jacket. It's the first winter jacket I've had since I lived at home, I've been freezing my ass off wearing stupid hoodies and fleeces for years.

I got in on the second chance sale so I'll sit this one out. Good luck to everyone.

Hi bro!

Christmas this year wasn't too bad. Since my bday is so close to christmas, my family does christmas and my bday together and I usually get one gift instead of two (can't blame the parents, Christmas shopping is expensive as hell when you got a ton of children and relatives). I'm not the guy for asking for and opening presents but I got a nice wallet and a light down jacket in some weird purple obsidian color. Also I got money as I personally think its the best and safest option.
I didn't get myself any keyboard related stuff and lucked out on the Winter and Ice sale unfortunately but its not the end of the world for me! So glad you are giving more chances to those who are Bro-less :fistbump:

Here's a pic of that funky colored jacket:

For the caps, I'd like any of the caps, as long as it is in MX.  Must say though these new designs are so awesome, I love them all! :thumb: Any of these would be a great first Bro for me. Thank you Bro for doing this!

p.s. appreciate all of those who got caps from the Winter/Ice sale and are sitting out, helps us first-timers

Apparently I am too old for presents so only got one this year from my best friend, he is getting into wood work and made me this monitor stand and some little containers to match but those are not quite yet done. I'm pretty stoked with it, I was using a phonebook  :))

Would prefer Topre but happy with mx too.

I had to be an adult this year, the wife and I replaced the countertops for Xmas.  So we (I) spent a bunch of money and got no toys.

She did get me some new Groo comics though. I didn’t even know these came out.

On the offchance.. MX.

Today is my GF and mine's 3rd anniversary.
Just bought her a necklace, and received yesterday.
Unfortunately she's traveling with her sis on the other side of the world, so I can't give her the present on such a meaningful day or even a near future until she come back.
In the cold and lonely Christmas, there's a silver lining to almost any bad situation, which's a blank HHKB show up in the evening as my Christmas gift and really warm my lonely heart.
Never get in any recent sale, hope I can have a nice bro in the future :))

What will fill your hearts with delight ,,

MX preference, Bro-less

Christmas should be filled with happy spirits so I'm keeping this brief. Things haven't been going well the past few months and I don't usually get gifts since I live alone. I did get this though, a blanket and cheez its with a sad note regarding the state of our relationship from my SO (?) of 7yrs.

Thanks bro for doing this, and good luck to everyone. Happy holidays!

My Christmas was pretty muted this year. I uprooted myself the week before Christmas and moved around 800 miles to a new country. The time and money I would have spent on others this year was absorbed in arranging and paying for a giant move that I will hopefully never do again.

Topre or MX are groovy!

Thanks for doing this Bro, it is very nice of you.  I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and the rest of your holidays are pleasant.

We didn't do much for gifts this year since our gift to ourselves was purchasing, renovating and moving into our new house.  We did continue our tradition of hosting a christmas morning with all of our friends who do not have family close and would be celebrating it alone otherwise.  We started doing that years ago and we have been doing it since.  My wife's favorite part of christmas is the stockings, so we make stockings for everyone so we all have something to open.  This year there were 8 of us and we all had a great time.

Here is the contents of my stocking:

[ Guests cannot view attachments ]

The jar/mug is filled with dried fruit and chocolate covered almonds.  BTW, these are great if you are invited to christmas parties and you want to bring a little something.  Buy some pint jars and a bunch of different dried fruit.  Do the fruit in different colored layers and it looks really pretty.  The mugs were a little hard to do this year because they were smaller than a normal pint jar, but you get the idea...

I would love an MX Stump, they look awesome...

I got a new Poker II for work (which I bought some caps for as well as a case) that I would love to put that beautiful white walker, or any artisan cap onto as a finishing touch.
I also got a new bed :D  Then went and spent christmas with my mom's side of the family, (she has 14 brothers and sisters, and I have 97 cousins) our grandma bought every grandkid a shirt, (last year she found this "funny printed shirt website" and now that's her tradition) they pretty much said the same thing, "This is what an awesome brother/sister/dad/son/etc looks like", much better than last years where she tried to make them all clever, for example mine was "I'm awesome and I don't care what you think about me" it was on a baby blue shirt with a script font...

MX preferred if white walker, if any other keycap or if not available Topre is good as well :D
0/6 Ctrlalt.io
0/3 Old Email System

Edit:
Put on the Tex Aluminum case, I also plan on buying a bunch of blue LED's and adding them as I constantly have it set to be in the Pn layer (to allow me to change the Caps key to be a Ctrl key) and the one light pisses me off, also I think it will be fun to do some of my first solder work!

Here it is in it's new case.

Since we celebrate Hanukkah, and since it is better to give than to receive, I would first like to showcase some of the items I gave my kids for this festive occasion:

My son has wanted his very own Robot for a long time, and now he has one:

My daughter loves to sew, and so she now has her very own sewing machine:

And although I know it may sound like a strange hobby for a modern man to have, I find hand-embroidering very relaxing. Since JoshMK loves Charmander, I decided to sew this piece for him as a Hanukkah present:

Now for someone who gave me something for their celebration of this season. heedpantsnow generously gave me his Imsto/Hammer Blue Hellboy MX which I admit is the coolest Hanukkah gift I would ever expect to receive this year:

Giveaway housekeeping note:
I am Broless, and have never owned one
I haven't won either of two Bro raffles of late
MX pls

Edit: I like the Stump and the 'Walker.

Some of you got some really great gifts. We had it unusual this year. Upgrading (finally!) from a 26" square tube TV, my parents bought mainly for themselves this year with a 55" LED and surround BD theater system and my brothers and I got minimal stuff like socks, gift cards, and shirts.

My parents thought this would be funny to gift me:

I already modeled it for my GF, jumping around trying to sound like Skeletor saying some quotes. She just kind of stared at me with this look of, "Did I really make the right choice?" She did get a good laugh out of it, though.

Bonus Picture
We got a bottle of Makers Mark and it came with a Christmas sweater on the bottle, which the kitten is modeling here:

Switch preference = MX

Thank you for running this giveaway, Bro. It's fun to peek into others lives a bit with some narration. Merry Christmas!

I don't get big presents anymore (I probably got too old for that :p). But christmas is about spending time with the family anyway and I had great evening with my 1,5 year old nephew. We played for hours with all his new toys and it was just awesome seeing the joy in the little man's eyes!

I got some candy and a calendar with pictures of him :)

I won a Bro in the last sale, but maybe I get lucky again.

I'd prefer a MX cap, but Topre is fine as well :p

My girlfriend recently spent a small fortune to buy a new instrument (she is a violinist getting her doctorate degree) and so I told her not to get me an Xmas present because it would be too much of a financial burden for her to even spend a bit of money on me. I did buy a little Xmas present for myself though, brand new and direct from PFU:

Shoddy pictures because I unboxed it in my car. I couldn't contain my excitement after picking it up at the post office  ;D

I'm just waiting on stabilizer grease to lube my rattling spacebar and a spring to replace the one I ruined (I stepped on on it, stupidly, while I had the spacebar off to figure out how to fix the rattling noise) but after testing almost every type of switch under the sun and buying/selling a couple Korean customs, I've decided that this HHKB Type-S really is my end game! No more trying to get myself to like Cherry MX - I've become completely "one with the cup rubber!"

That White Walker Topre cap would be the perfect finishing touch to my keyboard and would quite possibly end my MK journey - of course I'll still be sticking around GH for good because the community here is great - but no more buying random keyboards that I only have moderate interest in. This would make my girlfriend happy too because she thinks I switch keyboards wayyy too often :p

PS:
I am also a HUGEEE GoT geek and I am absolutely in love with that keycap (my profile pic is a modern rendition of the Tully family sigil). I'm still kicking myself in the butt for missing out on the sale... again... as usual... and to this day have never even touched let alone seen a Bro Cap in person :'(

Anyway, thanks for doing this and Happy Holidays!

Something PC related that I received this year was a can of plasti dip. Not that exciting on its own, but I'm planning on spraying my BitFenix Prodigy black (it is currently orange). This is exciting as I also have the recently dropped Vortex black and white key set from MassDrop on its way. Hoping to change my entire setup from orange to black / white.

I got some HiFiMan RE-400s, and an HTC one m8. Both are pretty good.

Girlfriend got a me a great new Leatherman, been wanting one for a while so I can play handyman! Love fixing up random junk (broken oscillating fan has been my recent target), but given I'm a (relatively) recent grad, I don't have the biggest selection of tools just yet. This is great in that it fills the gap on things like wire strippers which I don't want to buy, but is great to have long-term from a convenience perspective.

An MX bro would really cap off my holidays in a special way  ;)

To be honest, not much of anything yet except some chocolate and wine from work, and a couple gift cards.

I say "yet" because my family hasn't been able to celebrate it fully. My father and sister both work and study overseas.

My father ended up not being able to make it due to year-end business, and my sister's flight was scrambled up amidst the holiday schedules that she missed Christmas with us at home.

BUT :D my sister is able to make it tomorrow and we'll be able to celebrate new years together, the three of us.

Our whole family hasn't been able to gather together for years now, but thinking of each other as we try our best in our circumstances.

Here's to hoping in 2015, we could finally come together!  :thumb:

Thanks for reading, I haven't been able to win a cap in the recent sale and am completely Bro-less so I thank you again so much for this opportunity! :)

Edit: I love the Whitewalker V2 topre cap!

This year I got some mountain bike things (new chain, new rear tire), some very cozy slippers and some racquetballs.

As you can probably tell from the racquetballs and the bike stuff, I'm trying to cultivate hobbies that keep me active.  Like others that spend most of their time playing with computers, sometimes, I tend to be a bit ... is "portly" too harsh?  :)  I HATE just spending time in the gym, so I'm trying to do things that give me exercise and are actually *fun* - cycling and racquetball are the best I've got so far.

I would LOVE the white walker in Topre!  I've tried to participate in all the Bro sales since I joined geekhack, and still haven't been able to get one.

Thanks, and merry Christmas!  Thanks for the giveaway!

I love White Walker V2's. I am sure I need it! The reason is simple. Because I never win keycaps. So sad!
I prefer MX. But MX and Topre are good for me. Because I have many keyboards.
Anyway, giveaway is very cool. Thank u bro!
