I know its therapy, but I figured I'd try and start some discussion. What's your favorite KWK/KBK design?

For me, its kinda tough. I think Vandal takes the cake, but I also really love Mummy II. Both of these caps have insane levels of detail, and the proportions are on point. The best part of the vandal is his mouth. It's perfect, and lifelike. It has that appearance that it's an actual face below the mask.

Mummy II or Karma Bat. Both creepy and sci fi / horror. Detail is superb on both! Conspire and Vandal are also epic. Very clean designs and look awesome. The 666 cap was awesome looking too, wish that was made.

Yeah it is really tough to narrow down just one cap. Punks has done such an amazing job on all of them.

My favorites are by far, far and away the pink OG prototype Karma Bat and the False Idol. Part of it is the sculps which are very unique, part of it is the mystique surrounding them both. Each instace of the caps has a storied history which I'm really into. I love knowing the lineage of my caps. I'm an aspiring cap historian  :))

I forget who has that cap but it shouldn't be too hard to find if you want it.

My favorite sculpt for daily use is the topre Mummy I. It's really clean but still dark and sinister. Conspire is probably second, the detail in her face always blows me away.

I think Vandals take the cake for best design that doesn't interrupt the keycap functionality, probably even across all makers. The profile appears to be very in-line with the MX OEM profile (I think?), with the majority of the detail being so fine/subtle that it wouldn't have much impact on the overall feel of the cap. And every way you interpret the different aspects of the keycap (design, purpose/function, etc) all ring true in relation to the vandal name/meaning, so just excellent overall execution from that artsy standpoint (that HP/PD may or may not have had in mind when he was creating the design) as well.

DAMN SHAME IT'S MX ONLY THOUGH, I GUESS HE THOUGHT VANDALIZING A TOPRE KEYBOARD WITH ONE WAS TAKING IT ALL A LITTLE TOO FAR~

You Really don't realize (well at least I didn't ) how amazing the vandals are until you have one in your hand the lips and lines on the hood are absolutely amazing. Real talk!!!!!!

"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

Dustin doesn't have it anymore.

well... damn lol.
That's why I said you'll need to find it. :))

The thrill of the hunt!
KBKs are the best caps to hunt for, especially because they're all only 1:1-4.
Not sure about this, there aren't a lot of orange ones and Dustin loves orange so I think it would be like hunting the birds in a bulletproof aviary :))

I have an orange BS Wrapped
As far as I know Dustin doesn't currently have any orange KBK. ;)
People in the 1980s, in general, were clearly just better than we are now in every measurable way.

The dumber the reason the more it must be done

Lucky Ghost, that's one cap that I never thought worth putting on my "wanted" list but seems I should have.

Maybe there will be another made for this year - I can dream!

^^^this I'm shipping out some random KWKs to some people this week some were trades but others surprises. It put a dent in my collection but spread the love right  :thumb: seriously though these are little pieces of art most of the caps have a history and a list of previous owners. For people like me it doesn't get any better then collecting these little master pieces
Looking for Black KMAC 2 or KMAC LE Preferably unbuilt kit but will consider an assembled board with clears Please PM me if you can help 8) Always on the lookout for KBK/KWK Bro Reapers,V2s and Clack factory skulls have lots of caps for trade
