So What's Next?
1. Create the Ergodox Sets from the bulk blanks
2. Print the "Check Sheets" for quality control
3. Assemble everyone's individual order
4. Send invoices
5. Receive payment
6. Ship Orders
7. Handle exceptions & errors
8. Have a beer.  ;)

DAMN this guy has it all worked out  :thumb: .  I didn't know you had this in you to organize everything so perfectly.  Looking forward to receiving the invoice for shipping.

Just another note here for all future Group Buys that we Australian (Convicts) get involved with, you organizers need to place onto the Customs Forms that we are receiving an RMA part for our "broken keyboards", not worth more than $20.00AUD (never include the true cost of what was paid onto the package).  That way we avoid getting Abbott-raped in taxes for the new year.

YES we have now joined the UK in getting screwed over for our paid for items, you see when a new arsehole, gets elected into power over here how everything changes for the worse.  Our days of true freedom disappeared on September 7th 2013, it will always be remembered as the day we start to pay more for everything in this foul convict settlement  >:( .

Sorry to let the world know of what is happening here - but the truth has to be told, from within.

I finished creating and printing the "Check Sheets".

Packaging Test
I also tested packing in the small flat-rate boxes. This is only for those with small orders that include only 1 or 2 sets.

With bubble wrap, I can package a single standard kit and nothing more. Without any packaging materials, I can get a standard kit and a numpad kit, or an add-on kit. The tightest fit is the Standard Kit with Upgrade Kit 02. Those are packed night and tight, which is how SP sent the 20lb boxes to me -- no padding. Granted those were much bigger boxes will less risk of getting crushed, but I could package your order something like what you see below.

Packaging Test by cpkey, on Flickr

Bear in mind, I still need to test the shipping by weight option will be, but personally, I would want bubble wrap just to make sure everything arrived safe and sound. For those orders that I think will fit, I'll PM you and give you the option to choose before I invoice you for the shipping.

What's Next?
I've done all I can do for today, but now that the "Check Sheets" are printed (and a beer consumed  :p ), I'll begin boxing up everyone's order and put together the Ergodox Kits tomorrow.

1. Create the Ergodox Sets from the bulk blanks
2. Assemble everyone's individual order
3. Send invoices
4. Receive payment
5. Ship Orders
6. Handle exceptions & errors

I think SA keys are extremely durable. I have received regular DCS in a bubble mailer via international shipping several times with no issues. Obviously a little extra care goes a long way keep doing what you are doing.

Very excited for this set, looks absolutely amazing on camo boards and probably everything else.

Sorry for the lack of updates this week. Work just dumped a truckload in my lap on Monday and just got out from under it just now.

I'll be beginning the packaging again this weekend and I'll provide more updates then. My hope is to get most orders packaged and ready for shipping on Sunday.

Already, you mean this coming 22nd or 29th?

For me please don't package the receipt from SP inside the box because Customs Scumbags will open and inspect every key, nook and cranny of that box.

If there is a separate receipt showing who made the caps+payment, then please send it in a separate envelope to my address (I'll pay for it of course).  Anyone who opens that shipping box MUST not know who made the caps.

I thought Australia didn't care about stuff coming into the country or how much it cost, did that change recently?

Oh YES, those GOOD OLD days have now disappeared.  Since the NEW Abbott (arsehole) got elected into power he vanquished away Howard's brilliant over $1000.00AUD tax rape.

Now, beginning 2014 - we the poor convicts of Australia will have to pay TAX on anything imported into this desolate dump which is over $20.00AUD.  So imagine a country that makes nothing at all and totally relies on everything to be imported into it, now decides to tax everyone individually, for buying anything overseas.

I still wipe away tears when I think about Howard losing the election some time back  :'( :'( :'( :'( .  To us, he was the "Ronald Reagan" of this miserable convict settlement.

why would there be a receipt??

Just any sort of mention in written form that the key-caps came from SP has to be avoided.  Absolutely nothing has to be in the box other than the key-caps because the Customs Parasites are not that smart in determining the true value of these items.

Just need Bunny to note,  that all future dealings with Australia has to be like that so that the customs forms that are filed need to be accurate and can not be refuted by those arseholes.

Sorry for being so mean to them but they are the taxing agents for a regime that shouldn't of been elected in the first place....so easy here to lose our basic freedoms, just beware you don't head down our track any time soon (our US friends especially).

There is no receipt, nor any indicator that these came from Signature Plastics, much less a company.  :thumb:

Status Update
ErgoDox sets have been assembled, bagged and tagged. For those of you that ordered a set, I've added some pictures that illustrates how they were packaged. Start Here.

I'm assembling everyone's order now and I should begin invoicing later today. I plan to ship US orders first only because it takes less work and represents 60% of the orders. Not to mention that it will clear out some space in my office.  ;D

Once I've e-mailed you your invoice and then received your payment for shipping, I'll print your shipping label, provide you with a tracking number and then drop off your package at the post office.

What's Next?
1. Assemble everyone's individual order
2. PM those with small orders to confirm packaging
3. Send invoices
4. Receive payment
5. Ship Orders
6. Handle exceptions & errors

Sorry for the lack of updates, but the end-of-year stuff for my business just buried me and I'm only now just coming up for air.

I will begin sending out shipping invoices tomorrow and my goal is to get everything out that I can over the next week. I'll be shipping as I receive payments and I will update as I go through the orders, but below are my next steps.

Next Steps
1. Send invoices (2014-01-04)
2. Receive payment
3. Ship Orders
4. Handle exceptions & errors

Not trying to rush you if they haven't been sent, just double checking since they were supposed to go out on the 4th and I haven't received one.

Thanks!

It is a bit of a tease, but unpredictable delays are to be expected when everybody is working in their spare time. It's the price of getting such a small run exclusive set.

So sorry guys for not giving a proper status update and falling off the radar like that. I hate it when I've seen other organizers do it in group buys that I've been involved in and I certainly didn't want to fall prey to the same behavior -- alas, I did. So sorry.

So What Happened?
No sooner did I say that I was going to start sending invoices, then Winter Storm Ion hit the Midwest and East Coast here in the US. Based in Nashville, we didn't get hit quite so bad, but the bulk of the customers in my day job are in that area and we were just deluged with work. I already work 12-hour days, 6-days a week, so there just wasn't a lot of bandwidth to absorb the extra demands.

Uh huh, uh huh, that's great, so where are my key caps?
Still safely boxed up in my office and ready for shipping. I will begin sending out the shipping invoices today. As I've stated before, I'll be doing the US first since they are easier and faster to process and then moving to International. I'll post updates as I get the orders processed.

Again, I'm very, very sorry for dropping off like that, but I plan to work very hard to get as many orders processed this week as I can.

Damn, Mashby why live in a place so cold?  You should come here amongst us convicts and enjoy our current over 100F temps, where you only have to worry about the flies crawling into your gullet/nasal cavity during the daylight hours.  Since you already work 12 hour shifts then you'll enjoy our 7 day rosters for two weeks at a time, when you first start.

Good everything is okay with you, I hope the weather eases a little where you currently live.  Thanks for dropping by and letting us worry-worts know whats happening :thumb: .

14% of the invoices were sent out tonight. These were for the flat-rate small boxes and two of you (as of this post) have already paid. Thank you! Payments that I receive tomorrow will be shipping tomorrow and more invoices to follow.

The country in which we sent all our convicts now has a lower crime rate than we do.

Bad Luck British Brian.
unless they have some unforeseeable downside (like they're actually made of cream cheese cunningly disguised as ABS)

When people start getting this set onto some 'boards, post photos please, so I can update the ColorScheme Archive, and put this set from the 'proposed' category into the 'produced' category.  :thumb:
