I need something good for the Color Scheme Archive -- straight on shot, TKL and TK if at all possible. Just imagine, your photo could be selected for this incredible honor. Act now, our operators are standing by.  :D

What you really mean is that this Group Buy is extremely reliable and fast with near perfect distribution.  Regardless to the fact it also happens to be way cheaper  :thumb: .

Hey guys,

I picked up my set from the customs office today.

Box-Ception
The keycaps were in a box that was protected by an even bigger box. Kinda overkill in my opinion, but I guess better be safe than sorry ;)

Not a single key was missing, but I didn’t expect anything else from Mashby  :thumb: Thanks for all the work you put into this! I liked your constant updates and your well organized approach to handle everything.

My naked board waiting for its first SA keycaps. As expected they are not really good for typing. I lost 30 WPM compared to typing on Cherry profile. But I think they are fine for gaming, because you rather have to tap than type.

Ready for action!

Sorry Krogenar, this is all I could get out of my potato. I just suck at taking pictures :(

For sure, Mashby had packaged these key-caps to be dropped safely out of an airplane traveling at 40'000 feet hence he really lived up to the Military Code of this key-set  :thumb: .  It's been a long time since I've seen such a well-packed key-set such as this.

Like I said once to him, you have to do more of these in the future, if Matt3o or Bunny needs someone of your vast experience and know how in distributing these items quickly then we the PEOPLE here would be more than happy to pay you in doing this.  It basically gives Matt3o and Bunny some breathing space when it comes to running future Group Buys if Mashby is in charge of distribution.

Not trying to pressure the poor guy into being our permanent distributor but it's been so perfect and how could you not want faultless delivery of goods such as these, within the near future?

EDIT: Is it just me, or is the profiling on this set insane-looking -- as in, really, really curved. What's that feel like to type on?

Just put these on and it's strange to change profile. Haven't thought much of it before but now it's noticeable. The deep dish F & J are also something to get used to but this set is jsut gorgeous. The huge font gives a special look to the keyboard. Still waiting for the first colleageue to come by to see what they think of it. :)

Horrible quality on images but can't get any better with the phone:

Yeah, the profile is really different. That's why I wrote I dropped 30WPM with it, but after forcing me to use it a couple of days I am back at my normal ~100 WPM. So like many things when it comes to typing or switch types it's basically personal preference.

I have to say it feels more exhausting to type fast with these keys, but that might also be a placebo effect or me overreacting to the profile (like lifting fingers higher than I need to, etc.).

Nevertheless, I am still pretty sure that this will be my first and last SA set. It's just too much of a change when you constantly use different keyboards that have Cherry profile at work and then come back home to type on these SA monsters :p

EDIT:

Especially the ESC-Row seems really steep. Look at jil_jil32's pics:

With 90% of the orders delivered and only one invoice outstanding, we're in the final phases of this Group Buy. jil_jil32 has been ever so patient waiting for everyone else to receive their orders and we've finally pulled the trigger to ship the organizer's order!

If you've received your order and not confirmed that it's complete, I'll be sending out PMS's just to verify and mark it as complete.

Lastly, once the final invoice is paid, I'll publish the costs associated with the shipping to show how everything came out in the wash. *hint* there wasn't any profit.  :))

I sent out PM's to everyone that I don't have down as confirming that their order was complete. Probably not necessary, but I'd prefer to take the extra step of bugging people to make sure.  ;D

Two packages are still shipping (Indonesia and South Korea) and one order is still ready for shipping.

Talk about a supreme effort here on distribution.  You've set the standard here on keeping everyone informed and I still use your name to encourage others to follow your example.  When anyone is thinking about running a Group Buy here on Geekhack, try and do a "Mashby" when sending out all the orders because it will always prove highly successful for everyone concerned  :thumb: .

Have to admit I am now a rampant Fanboy for this individual and the way he's run this  :-* .

Finally got around to actually putting my set on a KBT Pure and giving them a test drive. I thought the profile would be too tall, but I really like this set a lot! jil_jil32 you really outdid yourself with this set.

There are so many nice touches and now that I've been trying them out on different boards, I can see just how much work went into those upgrade kits. It makes the set so flexible to use. Thank you!   :-*

Oh yes, the ones who never participated in this Group Buy will never know this feeling of contentment.  Knowing the we have in our Keyboards the very best of what SP can produce is always reason enough to just let them do what they do best - make key-caps.

I just pity the rest stuck with cheapo DCS profiles and trying to fool all of us on how happy they are with that choice, poor suckers.

What made this GB so special was the involvement of Mashby for sorting and distributing everything, which he has set the golden standard of how it should be done.  Maybe you should contact SP here because I hear they're trying their best to organize distribution of their key-sets.  If in doubt they should always contact the professionals here on Geekhack that have run highly successful Group Buys.

Thank you Mashby for handing me my key-caps, a few weeks ago.  I shudder to think if I had to rely on someone else like SP to deliver them.

Agreed--the bullet cap is a great touch!

Whoever did not pay their shipping invoice should really do so soon, so the thread title can finally move off the "99% Shipped" mark :)

Wow, your board looks great Phoenix!

Although, I think your "Z" and your "N" keys are swapped.

I'm finding for me one of this awesome keyset. Hopefully, I can get my hand on it soon.

BTW, Can you guys please tell me the experience with SA profile keycap? I have read some thing about its issues of taking out ( too tight), and it might damage the stem of switch.

Cheers.

The answer is yes for Cherry MX Clear stem, very tight. For Cherry MX Brown, they are tight and for Cherry MX Red and Black, they are fit. However, everything has a solution. You can work around by slightly lube the stem with normal viscosity oil before plugging the keycaps in. When you pull them out, use your hand instead of the keycap puller.
