The Interest Check has gone really well. I am satisfied that there is enough interest in these switches to make it worthwhile to run a Group Buy.
The GB will be run on my subdomain https://preorder.opticboards.co.uk (https://preorder.opticboards.co.uk) This is purely to keep GB orders separate from my day to day orders. Just makes running GB’s easier on my part.
The GB will run from today until 15th October 2019. This is a timeline of 5 weeks. Hopefully this will allow everyone to have a pay day during the GB and not miss out.
Manufacturing Lead Time is 10 Working Days. This should be completed by 29th October.
Shipping from China to me should take no longer than 7 days. The switches should be with me by November 5th. Customs depending.
Packaging of all orders shouldn’t take longer than 5 to 7 working days. This means that all orders should be posted by November 12th.
Shipping estimates are : UK 1-3 days, EU 3-5 Days, Rest of World 5-7 days. Customs depending.
Timelines are predictions only. But I have erred on the side of caution so the finished date **should** be earlier than predicted but no promises.

sorry for my ignorance but i'm not that deep into the switch game yet, how do these feel compared to lets say, kailh burnt orange or kailh brown regarding the tactility?
i've never had any -ealios on my hands but i would like a nice tactile bump if it's "stronger" than the kailh ones.

Much higher tactility. Smoother. Nice bottom out. It's in a different tier than those switches.

Joined. At this price they are great to check out. Having used Cherry Browns and Kailh Box Heavy Burnt Orange I am eager to find out what they feel like because the others have not been very exciting.

Any profit I make will be from the extra switches I buy to then sell on my main store. Gotta get something useful out of running this Group Buy, What works best...free shipping or cheap shipping? Over 250 orders worth of data to answer that question with.

I want to make sure my order still goes through because I only ordered 60.

I have had only a few orders less than 70 switches, I have chosen not to cancel these orders. If you wanted to increase your order from 60 to 120 please email me ( George@OpticBoards.com) with your order number then I will send you a coupon to cover the shipping difference.

last time i haven't gotten a tracking number, just an email saying the processing of my order was finished and a couple days later i had the switches on hand.

Pretty sure he said that all of them have shipped on reddit. I imagine it would be a ***** to update every paypal payment with tracking info so I'd say just check the mail and it will probably be there soon.

Also, what are differences between these and the T1 Tactiles that Prime Keyboards have (https://www.primekb.com/products/tactile-switches) other than the color?

Slightly worried with no tracking being reported. The post office here is striking against big cuts for a total of 4 weeks if the parties can't settle. Now also airport staff are refusing to handle airmail in sympathy of the postal workers. There will be a huuuuuuge backlog once things start going again and knowing the post office they will probably lose 50% of items :eek:

All T1 orders have shipped out. Many of you have already let me know that they have arrived.
FAQs
Q: Tracking info?
A: Only those who requested and then paid for the upgrade have tracking info, this will have been emailed directly to you.
Q: No email communication?
A: Sorry about this, Mid way through the GB there was an influx of orders, roughly 45 in 20 minutes. This caused my web hosting company to flag my order confirmation emails as spam. As such they have blocked my server from sending any emails out to certain domains mainly outlook.com, gmail.com, hotmail.com etc.... They have refused my proof that the emails sent were genuine and will not lift the email block. I will be rectifying this after my current Koala GB ends, I don;t want to mess with changing hosting provider and a whole server transferred while midway through a GB.
I hope this clears up most of what has been asked, any other questions let me know, I will try to keep an eye on the thread better than I was doing so.
