Any chance of seeing swedish tenkeyless but with 55g switches anytime soon?
I really want to try a topre board but I worry a bit that 45g will be to light for gaming (mainly fps). - any opinions on that from people who have one?

I guess I can wait a while if that's what it takes, spilled orange juice on my das but it's still possible to type on at least. (The first thing I thought after getting over having ruined my keyboard was that it's quite a good excuse to try out another mechanical keyboard... MWUhahah.. :becky:

Its very rare to find a tenkeyless swedish topre of any kind, so my guess is that will either never happen, or take forever. Most people seem to think 55gr topres are somewhat on the heavy side to, so 45gr should be allround and nice.

I tried a variable-weight Topre at a store and found both the 45g and the 55g (ESC) keys to be just fine, with the 35g keys being too light. I ordered the all-45g FI/SWE Topres with the intention of heavy gaming as well.

me too. I think 45g will be fine, especially seeing how topre engineers designed it to be the weight for every finger except the pinky. They know what theyre talking about.

Do these models have full NKRO?
I thought that Topre has only 6KRO + certain modifiers.

The photo on the website is showing ANSI USA keyboard layout.
Any luck with showing us what the British Layout will look like? As I prefer ISO layout keyboards.
I wish they came with white key-caps as this would have been ideal, any idea if you'll be stocking them, or even other colours(orange)?

That is not the actual photo of the product.
The British Layout has the standard ISO layout.

The subtle black on black keycaps with their tactile feel and N Key Rollover ensure fast and accurate input.

Sure. Also please test it for full N-key rollover.

Decided to order, I'll just have to source some white keycaps at a later date.

Been waiting forever, since i missed the 91UBY for a more ISO layout keyboard.

I just hope I'll actually like Topre switches as this'll be my first time with them, as I've been using Cherry switch keyboards (have used alps also).

Mine arrived last night, just started using it properly today. First go with a Realforce and this is definitely more my kind of key action. Very smooth and light with a lovely rebound, and it's not even broken in yet. I didn't get on with my Majestouch TKL with Blues, though I did like the sound and there's no doubt that it is an excellent board (look out for it in the classifieds shortly, 1 month old and exc cond). This Realforce doesn't have the windowed lit Caps Lock etc. keys, nor the numpad on the ERTDFG or whatever keys that some seem to. Still, great job Bruce and the gang for an ISO layout version.

Hi RiGS, I just did the XEM and Microsoft web-based tests. Both reported 6 keys (6KRO?). I'm connected by USB.

dj christian, I prefer the Topre, something to do with the light feel and I the subtle but noticeable rebound. The key profiles on the Topre seem to suit my hands better too. I was always bumping my fingers into the edges of the keys on the Majestouch, satisfying as it was to type on it.

Here's the photos of the UK Version of the 88 Keyboard. I don't own a lightbox so couldn't make it real professional. But its clear enough

It's a little darker than the shots but it feels quite good to type on much better than my regular Cherry G80-3000 with Blue Cherry. Very cool dark key caps i still preferred if we could get white keycaps as I am starting to think black is getting real boring.

realforce boards are really nice, feel very solid (worth the money) however if you don't like rubberdomes, I wouldn't go for it.

What's the difference between the 88uK and 87U ? Does the 88 UK have a keypad built in like the 87?

Check this poll.

The 87U has ANSI layout and variable, or uniform 55g weighted keys.
The 88UK has uniform 45g weighted  keys, and doesn't have leds, and built in keypad.

It is clearly better than the 86U, as it has uniform 45g weighted keys and it has a bonus yellow WASD set.

still absolutely worth it if you come from germany and need ISO, the LEDs dont really bother me at all, when I type in something wrong because of caps lock I usually realize it without even looking at the keyboard.

also 55g would be rather heavy i think, although the cherry blues are supposed to be heavier than 45g realforce, the realforce still feel heavier overall.

The Keyboard Co probably sell more to companies with VAT No, so that's why they leave VAT off since those companies don't need to pay (common practice for companies selling to other companies in the UK, in the USA though the tax is left off everything and added afterwards and it seems you don't get taxed for goods bought over the net).

But normal people who aren't buying for a company or on behalf of a company still have to pay VAT. I'm sure if more normal/enthusiast people start buying keyboards they'll include VAT by default.

On our homepage there is a tick box so you can chose Inc VAT or Ex VAT.
We find trade buyers like it without and retail like it with. There are no hidden costs so it can only be Goods, Carriage, or VAT.
