From KBM:
Keybee Manufacturing (KBM) is an NA based team who love keyboards and were tired of the long wait times and sometimes low quality seen from keycap manufactures recently. They've gotten together to bring to market an alternative dye sublimation PBT keycap option, with attention to the following:

-Super crisp legends
-Thick cap walls (1.7mm)
-A noticeable lack of warping
At a competitive price!

For those of you who're (understandably) concerned about quality, we've got samples! Check them out for yourself (click "more" to expand the full album). Comparison shots to other well-known manufacturers will be posted in coming weeks!

Colour Matching Notes:
CP	The colour is actually a bit off of CP, but in the direction of the original Pantone 7604C (so in a good way). Approved.
Pink (706C)	Might not look like it from the photos, but these match dead-on! Approved
Coral (2339C)	Slightly too orange, R2 samples on their way
Blue (290C)	Has a greenish-greyish tinge to it. R2 samples on their way

Are you lovesick? Experiencing mild despair? Unsure of how to make a move towards taking the big step in your new relationship - holding hands? All these problems and more can be resolved through the employment of a qualified Love Detective!

This is a set my Fiancee and I have created together. Inspired by a particular “Love Detective”, one of our favourite characters from one of our favourite shows - likely responsible for the most laughter from us both across all of what we've watched.

COLOURS
Colours were, of course, inspired by a particular Love Detective with bright pink hair! Any L.D. worth their salt knows that a warm personality is an important part of success in the industry. We chose colours with warmer undertones to convey this particular type of personality while still aiming to stay true to our source of inspiration.
The cream colour of the alphas is complemented by the “peachy coral-ly soft orange-y colour” (these descriptions are as quoted from my Fiancee, a professional artist). The same peach/coral/orange colour is used as the base colour on accent keys, contrasted with bright blue legends.

KITTING

BASE
Meant to cover most common layouts and includes accent keys for a bit of that flair often preferred by those in the profession.

WEEB BASE
The weebs have spoken. There will be a Hiragana base kit option!

NOVELTIES - AKA - TOOLS OF THE TRADE
A kit for those of you looking to add some excitement to your layout. Features some of the most important things any Love Detective should need!

SPACED
It’s a well-known fact that many Love Detectives are pretty spaced out. Have no fear, we’ve got what you guys need too!

For those of few words amongst you (or if you just love hieroglyphics), we have symbol mods you can use here!

A true Love Detective does not discriminate when taking on clientele. No matter how much of a tiny minority you belong to, rest assured we at least tried to cover all of you.

Given that this colorway, if done in PBT, would require very little reverse dyesub (accents only), it might be worth considering a different manu for this project other than GMK?

PBT is something we've considering. Lots of uncertainty with manus (and the world) right now, so we're playing it by ear a bit longer (good feedback for the IC form!)

i like this but it has the potential to be a color matching disaster. make sure you buy PLASTIC color chips to verify your color choices ahead of the GB, which you can then send to GMK. the $100 expense now will save you a lot of grief down the line.

If you are doing full light colorway, try to render your kit in a dark background maybe. it will increase visibility. now its looks like everything is flushed out. or maybe because of your low saturated color selection.

I think definitely adding a hiragana sub legend kit is the way to go. I would also like to see 3u spacebars in the spacebar kit as well! Otherwise great job and I’m excited to see this pan out

I am fond of the character the set is inspired from but I believe there could be more additions to the novelties. Personally I’d consider adding the hat as a 1.5u novelty and a soda can as a 1u novelty if possible. The smoke pipe and hat as enter key seems repetitive since there is a smoke pipe R4 novelty already. I also think the set could use more contrast but that’s down to preference. GLW IC!

Also, the pink/orange combo reminds me of GMK Patisserie... might be a good reason to consider another manu, maybe Milkyway? Since it doesn’t have very vibrant colours, dyesub seems like a good match for this set.

Hey all, big update! New manu (KBM), the samples are in the mail, things are happening! We tried to take as much advice as possible and going PBT allowed for it best! More novelty designs, more kitting options, shorter lead times!

Now if only I hadn’t named this post “GMK”….
