so, i went from ~ 20 years of QWERTY in a staggered keyboard and a 3 button mouse to https://engram.dev/, a hand-wired by me (it was my first time soldering and that was a freaking joy ) Dactyl Lightcycle and a button-less trackball; https://github.com/jfedor2/rp2040-pmw3360 (the one at the photo was modified to fit a 54mm snooker ball and nylon BTUs, tho after some months i concluded that even with a key dedicated to toggle pointer precision, working at Blender or Gimp with it was too clunky, so i decided to use the expensive bearings suggested at the link, as they are way more smooth for short & precise movements)... some months later with this setup my typing speed is 54 wpm (english) and i think i'm getting the pace of using pie-menus with the trackball!



my 1° 3D-printer is arriving and... there's a lot of stuff to-do from trying to set a https://github.com/riskable/void_switch into a multiplexer for hand-wiring (if anyone knows how to do at QMK, i appreciate some help, as i may need to jump the boat to http://kmkfw.io/ [their solution for I/O expanding is times easier for the average rookie]); tinker on a trackball design WITH buttons; maybe a variation of Dactyl after some talk to physiotherapists (i think i read everything about ergonomics at this forum and the keyboard community at Discord) etc.
