Post counts and such
« on: Sun, 19 November 2017, 08:41:47 »
Not that I really care about these things, but I just noticed that my post count is shown in the 5K range.

I thought that I remembered that my post count was in the 6K-7K range a few months ago. Did something happen?
"The Trump campaign announced in a letter that Republican candidates and committees are now expected to pay “a minimum of 5% of all fundraising solicitations to Trump National Committee JFC” for using his “name, image, and likeness in fundraising solicitations.”
“Any split that is higher than 5%,” the letter states, “will be seen favorably by the RNC and President Trump's campaign and is routinely reported to the highest levels of leadership within both organizations.”"

Some forums a while back were changed to not count, but user counts weren't affected. Then they were so you lost it from that I think. There was a thread, but I'm afraid tp4 has buried it in off topic.

There have been 2 or 3 resets where the post counts were recounted reflecting the changes that have taken place over time.

For example if you've been here long enough most subforums counted so your post count reflected that until these resets then it changes showing only the current subforum posts that count.

I've lost around 6-7K, you can see your actual total posts from your profile page if you view your posts then go to the last page, this doesn't reflect deleted posts however.

The post counts are CORRECT.  Note, if you had posts counted from a forum that was later changed to not have posts counted towards your total...a recount wipes those out.  They would not get wiped up unless a recount was initiated (which is not part of any regular maintenance task).

I want a post count of zero.

Jesus, take the wheel
Take it from my hands
'Cause I can't do this on my own
I'm letting go
So give me one more chance
And save me from this road I'm on
Jesus, take the wheel

It's all an illusion anyway.
"Because keyboards are accessories to PC makers, they focus on minimizing the manufacturing costs. But that’s incorrect. It’s in HHKB’s slogan, but when America’s cowboys were in the middle of a trip and their horse died, they would leave the horse there. But even if they were in the middle of a desert, they would take their saddle with them. The horse was a consumable good, but the saddle was an interface that their bodies had gotten used to. In the same vein, PCs are consumable goods, while keyboards are important interfaces." - Eiiti Wada

This happened to me too. I've had an account since 2013 and a ton of my posts got erased from years ago unfortunately. I guess I was just posting in the wrong threads.  :-\

I created this account long ago as well and I did have several posts around but none of them counted.
