Yeah, basically I have an Excel file with orders.  When new ones come in, I put them there... track everything there.  Then I have a Ruby script that parses that out, calculates balances, does the BBCode stuff to add flags, notes, colors, etc, and just gives me a blob of text.  I am however just copy/pasting that over the original message.  Doesn't take long, but I guess I could automate the posting as well.  But messing with authentication stuff is kind of a pain.  Still only takes ~30 seconds to update it after I get an order.

These are ABS.  Signature Plastics doesn't do PBT doubleshots at all, from what I've read in other threads.

What profile are these keys?  Are they the same as the keys from the previous SP round 3 group buy?  I didn't see that mentioned in the quick scan I did through this thread...

also, would the red coloring of the Control keys be the same as the red coloring used from that same group 3 order (I imagine the blue on the Alt keys will be darker)? example:

I was making some comparisons between the moogle kit and chery corps ctrl, alt keys and found the font to be too thin.
The shift key was closer to the cherry corps fonts. Why they would make it like this is beyond me. Here's a pic:

Is there a way for SP to match the font thickness to the shift key at least?

Yes, the same profile as the group buy 3 keys in your picture.  As far as the color, you'd have to check the swatch colors for Group Buy 3.  (I think it was/is in 7bits first post in that long thread)  Our swatch colors are shown in the sample on the OP.  The red in our case is "RR", which is the brightest they have.  That photo you linked looks darker, but that may be the camera because I have those two red keys on the left and I *think* they are RR too.  But check that GB3 post to make sure.

I checked into this actually.  But they have their molds set up for this legend already, and so I guess we get what they have.  I assume it would be possible to do something custom, but it would add some cost to the production and slow it down a tad.  (and a greater chance it could be messed up since it would be a first run.)

However, SP did send me this recently in relation to this question:

I have no clue what sizes or colors those are, but as for legends... that's some they made with the same legend setup. (Of course, all our legends will be white.)

However, there is variation within those to my eye: The top shift looks (slightly) thinner than the bottom.  Not sure if that's the photo, different runs, or what. Also it looks like the Alt/Control on the left match thickness to the bottom shift, while the alt on the right is thinner. (though being black makes it hard to compare exactly.)

Either way, I've expressed that most importantly we want a uniform thickness.  The slightly ticker font looks better to me and should match more boards.  But I'm not sure we get to choose that in this scenario.

The joy of group buys, you never know *exactly* what you'll get. :)

Hmm, apparently the red keys from GB3 are "RA"

just wonder if the difference is enough that they'll clash...

FYI... this is for comparison only... to my eyes in real life, these are not so bright.  Depends on light I guess.  They also don't look as contrasting in real life.  But for what it's worth:

Hard to say.  Probably wouldn't notice with red on your top row.  I guess if you have a red option key or something, you might?

I have the red gamer kit supplementing the GB3 standard kit configured like shown in my sig; WASD, arrow keys, Escape (which I use "PANIC" instead :P), and an "Any Key" in place of Pause/Break.  I chose red for several reasons including; to match the overall theme I have (I have red edition Silverstone FT02), the fact that red is probably my favorite color, and partially because I'm using them on keyboards with Cherry Red switches.

As awesome as these keys might end up complementing a standard keyboard, I'm just not so sure how appropriate they'll be for my compatible keyboards with their themes.  My 6Gv2 is no good because of its bum right Shift key and they'd be too out of place on my BlackWidow.

So really there remains only one option - I obviously need more keyboards.

Indeed!  The obvious solution! ;-)

I perhaps would have picked RA if I had realized that was GB3 red.  But I just went with the colors Noodles256 picked originally, and now that people have paid for what was listed, I wouldn't feel right changing it. :)

RA seems to be more red, whereas RR looks to be slightly orange. even in the fist pic of the poker they look orangish.

If i were you, i'd just change it to RA for the fact that it matches the gamerkits.

Who would be mad about this change? You could probably change it and not tell anyone an know one would have known otherwise :)

We're officially RA now.  Good catch bojinglebells!  It looks better anyway... more red.  And I know a lot of people bought GB3 keys or will buy GB4, so they'll appreciate that.

Good stuff. +1 on the decision. The color looked fine in the original post... but the comparison pic with RA made it obvious it was too yellow originally.
