Title: Different feel on different switches?
Post by: lightsout714 on Thu, 25 July 2019, 15:18:36
I have hear this posted a lot but whats the deal. I have some ePBT caps, one set on gateron browns on a stock tada. And another on an 8X with T1's. The feel is quite different. I think I enjoy them more on the lighter switches.

I mean yeah Gateron Browns and T1 Are different switches after all. I guess you like lighter less tactile switches more then the T1 switches.  Or am i getting your question wrong?

It happens.

There's all sorts of things affect how a keycap set feels - switches, plate material and thickness, even the desk surface and whether you use a keyboard mat can alter the feel of the same keycap set on different keyboards.

No I'm talking about the caps. Of course the switches are different. I have been enjoying typing on PBT more on the light switch than the heavy switch.

Ah yeah. That is totally possible i can see how the pressure of your finger on the key caps can make the difference in feel.

There are a lot of different type of caps. Some smooth some with textures in the design. It just depends on what you like
