please consider adding a gap between the main cluster and the arrows like on 1800 keyboards

I would also suggest to shift the rightmost 3 keys about 1u lower.
And blocking the top right corner with a nice slim logo :P

More ergo projects popping up, very nice.  Will thrown in my two cents about the arrow cluster and say that I find the attached look more aesthetically pleasing.

I think it'd way better without arrow keys at all.

I love the arrow keys and I'd prefer to not have them separated. It looks cleaner and differentiates from the other ergos.

I'd also like the arrows to be gaped, but I'm thinking of just double the normal key gap. That would keep them close but far enough away to not accidentally press imo

This is another stunning board, LZ. +1 vote for the arrow cluster where it currently is - it sets it off as different than the Ergo. Though I very sadly missed that one, I dig this one being different from what you did there. In full size (CP, etc) or 65% where you're struggling to find the arrows, standing them off is key, but I have a hunch in this board, it will feel really nice to have them cozied up there next to the alphas.

I'm on the separated arrow cluster boat. I think it would be much nicer looking if there was some space between the arrows and the rest of the keys.

I'd like few more keys on the left for balanced look and functions, but 10 keys are too much.

This is honestly super neat. The board becomes symmetrical and a 2x5 cluster of macro keys isn't unheard of in 65%ish designs.

LOVE IT. PLEASE MAKE, you will be a godfkdjfakljfadklsfjasdklfjaklsdfjakl;sdf

on a serious note though, is it possible to make the board a little more symmetrical and more functional by adding the top right 3 nav keys to the left side too?
(so both sides will have some nav keys)
It'll make the keyboard a little wider but this will be a jillion times more functional than the TGR alice in my opinion
(no hard feelings for the TGR alice, i love it too but this LZ one has dedicated arrows keys omgosh XD)

hmm bit too much ? maybe just seperate arrow keys a little bit, i think keeping these kinds of ergo boards less wide would be ideal?
not sure if this makes sense to everyone (depending on what you want to use this keyboard for)

Because there are two layouts with separate arrows

I'm still thinking about changing the layout.

I'm thinking through several things for the overall balance.

Hi LZ :)
I like the arrows where they are.
The EM.7 and Majapahit Ergo already have separate arrows like you say.
I also like the 3 keys on the top right with the indicator because they seem to balance out the arrows on the bottom right.
I don't think adding more keys to the left to try balance the looks is the right approach - again too much like the EM.7.

I would say the dolphin sides are the defining standout portion of the em7 and the arrows are dropped on em7 not blocked. Also there are only two macros on the right of em7. I would say this is closer to Alice so if there were any sameness worries it should be in that direction but I still think this is different enough and will purchase either way. Excited for this LZ!

Interested. I like the layout as is. Maybe lower the 3 keys on the top right so they are aligned with the top row. Also I'd like it even better if the radius on the bottom corners of the case were the same as the top corners.

please consider adding a gap between the main cluster and the arrows like on 1800 keyboards
This was my thought too. Even better if there is enough space to put a normal size Shift key in there, but just having the arrow cluster separate would already be a big improvement over all the Alice clones popping up.

Arrows without a spacer already work great on 65% and 75% keyboards.
Separate arrow cluster has already been done on the EM.7 and a couple of others.
Alice doesn't have arrows at all.
The Alice clones with arrows all look like the EM.7.
None of the ergo boards have an arrow cluster like this one.

I know those other keyboards are hard to get, but lets not turn this into a substitute.
I want a new LZ keyboard, not a clone of the Alice or EM.7.
