hi imsto, as I understand there will be no tax apply after $35 fee paid. So you can keep your money on your paypal. When you got a lump sum, you can transfer it back at once.

yes
That‘s better.

Awesome.  I was heavily into garage kit modeling, and one of the sellers of gk out of hong kong used those parties as well there.  Worked well for him to get together like minded people.  I guess they're kinda like mini cons.

A keycon would be cool.  They already have hacker cons and stuff. lol

Yeah, I've tried to get accustomed to different layout keyboards, and it just never works out for me.  I use too many different computers, and now that i have siigs for them now, I can't see using too many different ones.   I think the siig layout is absolute perfection.  The only one I make an exception for is my hacked hhk's which are similar enough.  lol

Can anyone find the backspace key?

Looks like the orange one would be del...but the blue would have to be esc, right?

Lol yeah, I was just wondering, because other than that I do kinda like that keyboard, being a siig clone type I imagine it having some ALPS white copies and having a numpad with that would just be orgasmic...

I had a side by side comparison in the other thread that used a standard picture of a Plum, comparing it to a siig, that one has modified key caps.  The backspace is the orange key.  The layout is just so messed up!!!

It uses blue cherries.  I made the point earlier, if they can make this board with blue cherries, why can't they just make a siig with cherries!!!

that plum keyboard would be really sweet if they shrank the arrow keys, made the colon/apostrophe buttons more convenient, and threw a win/command key down there/

I really like the colors and design of it. it looks so oldschool.

edit: i would not mind the orange backspace key, looks like a small enough board to where it wouldn't matter

Yeah they could shrink the return key and add another row of switches in there, put an extended backspace in, if they got rid of the ~ in the main number row, and it might actually be useable.  But notice even the [] ;: and /? are all moved to the function keys!!! YOu have to press f12 if you want to ask a question!!!

It's like someone made it looking at a siig but got rid of all the best parts of the layout and went into outer space thinking of how to fix the problems of adding a number pad onto a siig.

My only thought is that this may have been a result of chip programing/matrix wiring problems.  I can't imagine a designer actually purposefully designing a keyboard like that, at least not one that spoke english, but then why isn't it a Chinese or Japanese board?

This might actually be the cause of this weird layout, if there was a Japanese version first.  I think the siigs layout came about because it was based on the Japanese version of the board(see my mini keyboard thread).  That's definitely where the blank key came from on it.  I wonder if this was a similar situation.

oh yeah i noticed the question mark, but forgot to say anything about it.
shrinking the enter key to US layout style would give it some room.

how about switching the !@#$ symbols as alt+Fx and punctuation marks as alt+1-0?

You can get a scorpius with a full layout for the same price or less.

Maybe they do a BS for the orange key and DEL for SHF Orange.  THAT would get annoying quick - the key above Enter is my Backspace.

You can get a scorpius with a full layout for the same price or less.

La la la, I'm typing on Welly's $45 Scorpius M10. It's very nice.
I trolled Geekhack and all I got was an eponymous SPOS.

Personally, I like the heavier keyswitches since they're harder to actuate be accident.

@imsto: It's looking good. What about the bottommost row?

I would be most interested in a full set of keys and have the option of plain Winkeys (without the dome, the same as the Alt or Ctrl keys).

I would feel sorry for and a bit grossed out by someone who refuses white keys on the basis that they get dirty too easily. Here's a tip: wash the oreo crumbs and semen off your hands before typing. Do it for the children.

Hmm... Yeah, I suppose you can lol. I was going by my PBT MX11800 caps, which are not beige, but white with a good dose of grey.

Are these going to be a little easier to come by in the US, too?  I was thinking they could be distributed through an eBay store, or maybe majestouch might want to sell them through elitekeyboards.com.

Will these fit Cherry 'boards or Filco only? I think the stabilizers are different.

That, and the Cherry 'boards have the switches mounted off-center on the front row. If there were a Filco and Cherry version, I would buy a blank set for each.
