Hi,

What is the reason that there are 3 white keys under the key caps and all others are grey on a model M? The white keys are always in the same place.

Been wondering too. The white ones are the nub keys, f, j, and num-5. No clue why they're white though.

To help the workers (or even users?) put the caps on the right keys, I'd guess.

My Lexmark Model Ms have two different colors of keys, as well as two colors of sleeves (some are grey and some are white, lining the post holes of 2-wide keys).
